WALCOTT - which position is best etc?

His best postion is sitting in the stands, studied him for England last night, admittedly no service but looked absolutely lost, contributed fuck all in the time he was on the pitch, if we can sell him all the good.
Mentally he will never be a top player, no confidence at all.

If he was going to be this amazing player, it would have happened a long long time ago. He is 26 now.

I know that he is English and that is a premium, but if we fit the quota, then I'd sell. There are other teams that we could have over a barrel to fill that quota. He may be a nice lad, but given our current squad, time to sell up. We could and should replace him with a better calibre of player.

I mean judging a player on England performances? Think some of you are severely underrating what an asset Walcott is when he's on form. Messi wasn't praising him for no reason after we played Barca.

We'll sell him to a rival & for peanuts too. Not worth it.

When he is on form ? I can see why you would think that the handful of good games a season, would be worth £140k per week

Arsenal fans judge him on the last 9 years.Like our manager at what other club would Feo Walnutt get away with it.He shouldnt have been given a contract last time.Think about it £100k a week.I wouldnt care if we sold him to a rival. He's shit

You are taking out of context, He has consistently been crap for a long time, as said above 100% agree

He's a good player and he offers something different.

That being said, he isn't good enough to warrant a guaranteed first-team berth and he won't get the crazy wage hike he is reportedly asking for either.

Looks likely to be a makeweight in any future Sterling deal, I reckon.

And seriously, who gives a shit how he performs for England? If you slate him based on his trying to implement Hodgson's archaic football you need professional help.

Struggling to think of when he has put in a man of the match performance for us ?

Has scored some good goals, some very good goals but is very inconsistent and is still at 26 far from the finished article.

Think he can be quite easily intimidated out of a match with a couple of heavy tackles and he cannot head the ball for toffee and doesn't fit in with the one touch passing movement we try to play. Nor does he provide decent cover for the fullback (whether he should have to is a different argument)

Could prosper playing off Giroud, who would win the ball and provide lay offs but as we don't play 4 4 2 I wouldn't mind offloading IF we get an upgrade.

I don't disagree with this assessment, Stuart.

Like I said - a good player, not a great one.
