As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

That being said, he isn't good enough to warrant a guaranteed first-team berth and he won't get the crazy wage hike he is reportedly asking for either.
Looks likely to be a makeweight in any future Sterling deal, I reckon.
And seriously, who gives a shit how he performs for England? If you slate him based on his trying to implement Hodgson's archaic football you need professional help.
Struggling to think of when he has put in a man of the match performance for us ?
Has scored some good goals, some very good goals but is very inconsistent and is still at 26 far from the finished article.
Think he can be quite easily intimidated out of a match with a couple of heavy tackles and he cannot head the ball for toffee and doesn't fit in with the one touch passing movement we try to play. Nor does he provide decent cover for the fullback (whether he should have to is a different argument)
Could prosper playing off Giroud, who would win the ball and provide lay offs but as we don't play 4 4 2 I wouldn't mind offloading IF we get an upgrade.

Scoring goals doesn't' m e an you were man of the match.
Particularly in league cup matches
10 games (in your opinion) where he was in 9 years, for an International player is very poor anyway and proves the point that we could do much better.
List the games where he has been anonymous or gone hiding and compare them..............

In fairness, I doubt beck is suggesting that goals = MOTM awards; if it did, he'd have a hat full as he's scored plenty!
I'd imagine beck probably Googled for a list of Theo's man of the match awards.

Why would I want to do that?
I'm a supporter
Just like I was in 87 when rocky and the boys gave me one of my greatest nights in a football ground when we won the semi final at spurs
Funny enough that was in the league cup
Just because the media tell me that only 2 trophys matter now means nothing to me
I would want arsenal to win if it was an egg and spoon race
Walcott scored twice in the 11/12 5-2 v spurs but he was not our man of the match despite having a very good game
That honour fell to rosicky
I try to have my own opinion
Seems a bit pointless adopting someone else's

Thank you for your support mate but I have a reasonably healthy memory of arsenal games and these were games where he stood out above any other arsenal players
There have been plenty of games where he has been good or very good without being our best player

Seriously, you are about the same age as me judging from your posts, perhaps a little bit younger, but if you can remember all of those game you have my utmost respect. What day is it?

It is Sunday today

I have always liked Walcott but think he will leave. If I was him due to the many injuries I would join the Spanish or Italian league as they are less aggressive than the Prem but it could well be Liverpool he joins and risk further injuries to his stop start career
Clearly out of favour and it's hard to see him not being finished at Arsenal. Wenger will be reluctant but seems to have made his mind up already with a few pointed comments about Walcott's contract negotiations and by leaving him on the bench every week.

Keeping his mate Sagna company - what a move that turned out to be. Competing for the 4th place trophy with Saints and the Mickeys and getting knocked out in the last 16 of the CL to Barcelona. Thought he'd seen enough of that since he signed for us
It seems that the 'Walcott Up Front' experiment has ended. I thought Giroud was very useful as an impact sub earlier in the season... Fucking hell, neither of them are good enough
