As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Absolutely not. I can't believe anyone is still believing or trying to sell this horseshit. VanJudas sat on the treatment bench getting paid millions year after year for 7 years. He had no problem with our "ambitions" during that time, whilst we stayed loyal to him, paid him millions, when any other club would have cut their losses. Then the judas cúnt has that one amazing season, ups his profile and decides now he has issues with our ambitions?! Do me a fucking favour. Then the cúnt cashed in his one good season to get the move to manure. Why not request a move when he was constantly injured? We were underachieving throughout that time too. If ever any cúnt owed The Arsenal some loyalty it was that despicable cúnt.
Fabregas certainly acted the wanker towards the end of that last season but he gave everything during every other season.
In my original post I said that RVP was a wanker, and I agree that he betrayed the club but I think the problem is that some people want to portray RVP as a prick, and Cesc as some sort of saint. The fact is he sulked until he got his move to Barca, where as RVP actually would have stayed if the club had actually went and bought anyone decent. Also, people say why would RVP sign for United, well why would Cesc join Chelsea. Cesc joined a classless racist club, who play in the same city as us. Its interesting aswell that people think it was black and white that we didn't resign Cesc. Well maybe he acted like such a prick when he left that Wenger found it impossible to work with him again, it would explain why there isn't any sort of relationship between the two anymore.
RVP & Cesc are the same. Minute differences how they went about getting to more competitive football clubs. Truth hurts.
Point is you can't fault players for having loftier ambitions then silent Stan & co. That's who the fans should have directed the vitriol towards, the people running the club, & that's who should get it when it inevitably happens again. Simply dubbing ex players *word censored* diverts attention from the bigger picture, the failure of upper management.
Look at the Sterling situation, he's demonized as 'money grabber' for rejecting a contract because he can see LFC are on a road to no where. All attention is on what a 'greedy' boy Sterling is, while nobody is acknowledging that he's absolutely right, Liverpool aren't winning anything any time soon. Nobody is saying 'hold on, Sterling's right, Liverpool are shit, why?' Rodgers gets to scupper away from the fact that he's failed to make Liverpool a competitive team in spite of spunking £250 million.
Football fans are like hysterical birds, all emotion, no objectivity.

Don't forget the feigning of injury by the little *word censored* in his last season with us. Don't know why some Gooners have chosen to airbrush events leading up to his departure.
Also, let's not forget he had his Barca mates talking shit all over the press in a bid to force a move back to his 'boyhood' club.
Deserves every bit of dog's abuse that can be thrown at him. Pretentious little bastard must not continue to be seen as some sort of nice, innocent bloke, after the whole fiasco that took place when he sulked his way out and, even worse, now that he's joined the most vile, loathsome, and detestable club in all club footie.
Lost a bit of respect for Cesc after his antics in the Nou Camp tunnel prior to the Champions League game. I'm all for respect etc, but not fawning all over your opponents. That night proved where his heart was to me anyway, which again in my iopinion was disrespectful and unprofessional.
Having said that I hope he is not abused on Sunday , just ignore him and support our team.
Think it will be a draw , Chelsea won't force the game and we will get frustrated, last week people were saying a Man U win at Chelsea would be a good result for Arsenal. Never saw logic in that statement.
Cesc was always gonna end up back at Barca, there was no way he could've done without upsetting someone. Wenger didn't want him back so he had to find a club when it didn't work out for him.
Just remember he scored an equalising penalty with a broken leg against his boyhood club for us. He did what he could for us. We got a total of £40m from his move away, plus 8 years of committed quality football. A true great in the first years of the new stadium era.

The difference with Sterling is he isn't good enough to be at a team better than Liverpool.

Nos89, I think your missing the point, because no one is angry at Cesc for leaving, but there are right ways of doing things. Sulking until you get your move is not the right way to go about things. Also, I don't think it was as simple as us having Ozil that we didn't re-sign him. Cesc has admitted that he has no relationship with Wenger anymore, so who knows what went on before he left. Id also add that it says a lot that he joined Chelsea of all clubs, a completely classes club, and a club managed by a guy who Cesc knows is a wanker.

That's arguable. I would take him over Walcott and Chamberlain on the right flank.

I would've much rather have seen him join Moyesie's Manure last season than the Chelski filth.

Walcott yes....But Chamberlain No Feckin' Way! - We have yet to see the best of him - and when we do he will be awesome...strong, quick, had pace and has a footballing (creative/inventive) brain...
I won't boo him but I won't clap him like a returning hero because he's not, he's a snide prick who forced his move in a sly way with his Barca pals, he got what he deserved when they bombed him out and he deserves no extra attention from us.
Would be nice if he's just blanked but it won't happen as you will always get some idiots that think players give a fuck when they get booed.
The amount of love and passion he showed towards Arsenal and the respect he showed Wenger prior to his final season with us was always brilliant to see, especially by someone so talented. But his behavior in his last season was absolutely disgraceful and left Wenger with no choice but to sell him. Hugging Barcelona players in the tunnel prior to a tie we were winning at the time (not to mention his idiotic back heel which led to their opener) along with swanning off to the Grand Prix when he was meant to be injured when he was the club captain. Sulking on the bench in the Carling Cup Final.
If he loved Arsenal as much as he said did he wouldn't have forced a move through in the way he did and he certainly wouldn't have gone to play for a club that he publicly said he wouldn't play for and knew the bad blood and rivalry between the clubs. Not to mention they're a completely classless, racist, disgusting football club. Also if he loved Barcelona as much as he said he did he certainly wouldn't have gone to play for Mourinho, a classless individual but who is especially despised in Barcelona, a manager who poked the eye of a club legend and a so called hero for Fabregas.
He could have turned Chelsea down quite easily and said he'd fight for his place at Barcelona or wait for a transfer elsewhere if we didn't want him. I think Wenger does feel let down by Fabregas so that was why we didn't buy him back.
can we just remember who we are and what we represent as Arsenal supporters when Cesc returns, its all well and good talking about other clubs supporters being thugs or chavs, its a bit hypocritical when some here are talking of behaving just like that on Sunday towards Cesc.lets face it we lost a lot of players to Barca, but Cesc was a Barca boy before he played for us,the draw of returning must have been pretty overwhelming for him and to be fair wtf have we won in the time that he was there? Its not his fault that hes a Chelsea player,he'd have returned to us in a heart beat but Wenker didn't want him so as Cesc what you gonna do about it?When a club like Chelsea come in for you you join, its a no brainer, you go to Chelsea and win league titles and get paid handsomely.i finds it a bit pathetic that people here want to blame him for leaving and now being a chav, was he supposed to sit the season out and hope that another big non English club come in for him during January?get real chaps, hes a professional footballer,he wants to be in work as much as you or I do,get the fuck over it,act with a bit of 'Arsenal class' and welcome him home warmly
