He's such a Wenger-type 'wing-forward' as well - looks busy as fuck but an incredibly ability to always find a blind alley to run down and fuck all end product. Never going to fucking cut it but the best we can hope for is that he spends most of the next 2-3 years out on loan before he is eventually cut loose.augie wrote:mcdowell42 wrote:http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... st-5646722
Very interested to see that joel Campbell has yet to score even 1 goal for villareal - has anyone sent that memo to 1989 because I'm sure he will be gutted that his superstar striker is another dud![]()

Re: The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread
I think as much as another DCM and real striker i'd like to see us buy some proper wingers.
I'm getting a bit fed up with the only width being offered at times is by our 'wing backs' getting forward but even they of late have been guilty of spending too much time cutting inside exactly the same way our wing forwards do. It really cuts down the space in the middle of the park and makes us incredibly easy to defend against if the opposition are organised defensively.
The more i look at our individual players especially up front the more similarly they all play, it doesn't mean we're playing badly it just gives us less options when trying to get round or through a solid defense.
Oh well wishful thinking as it's not Wenger's style.

I've heard that after tonight's shambles in front of goal that Kalou is coming

Re: The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread
Apparently Samir Handonovic is looking for a move. I've rated him for a few years, and a proper no.1. Maybe, finally Benzema is available. £50m for the two of them and that's adll we need.

Re: The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread
I know that this isn't Arsenal related but seeing as it is transfer related, can anyone tell how in gods name inter think that they can buy yaya toure for £10m ?? This isn't a car boot sales ffs
Toure has seemingly said that he is willing to take a paycut (which is nice of him
), but given that he is earning a kings ransom every week, how the fcuk can inter Milan or any Italian team expect to be able to afford a player like toure who is in his peak years ?
