The man is a c.unt and yet some people continue to believe that he will change  We all know that he hadn't got a kings ransom to play around with in the first few years at the grove, but we also knew that he had enough money to buy 1 or 2 players that would have improved his team but he chose not to do so. It has never been about money for him - it has always been about "the project" and about accumulating players who wouldn't dare challenge him and his ideas, and that is why we continue to be devoid of leaders

At this stage I would recommend that the few of you that still believe that we will buy, should cleanse your mind of any thoughts of bringing in proven quality players for the positions where we have most need to improve - 90% of the top players that we could have bought for those positions, have already moved and that will only leave us players of girouds level available to us  No intelligent man would identify players to improve his team, and then sit on his hands for 2 months hoping that nobody will try to buy them before the last few days - the real beauty of le cock's thinking, is that when the best players have already changed clubs at this stage, he can tell the akb w*nkers that there is no point in buying anyone because there are no players available that are better than what we already have

What i really find quite unnerving and worrying is the complete and utter lack of any noise coming out of the club at the lack transfer activity, board, backroom staff, players are all culpable.

Now i know some on here will say we don't know what is going on behind the scenes and although that is true most other clubs where there is serious transfer activity drop hints now and then, there has been absolutely nothing coming out the club since Cech other than usual rubbish spouted by OGL where he changes his mind every few days.

I am more sure than ever now that, as has been said by numerous posters on here, the club as a whole are quite happy for the status quo to remain the same, rake in the cash and not worry about the consequencies.

This close to the transfer deadline you'd expect something to be coming out of the club even if it were disinformation.

:banghead:

I think we are in for a long hard season all :(

at the AGM in October Kroenke can put the FA Cup on the table as well as saying that we won the "pre season treble".
he will also point to the fact that all the season ticket holders renewed as usual and there are enough mugs to buy the rest of the seats. why does he need to put any pressure on Wenger to do anything? things are going well at the club.

Even his lovechild John Cross mentioned on TalkSport this morning that TO1AW has pointed to statistics proving that Coquelin has the leading defensive statistics in Europe, and how despite his own punditry work for French TV he seems to bristle at the likes of Neville and Carragher who dare to question his methods and the glaring deficiencies in his teams

Wenger clung to FFP as much as Gazidis clung to the 'new commercial deals' giving us additional firepower in the markets. The excuses have now shifted towards there being some lack of top strikers globally, and clubs being more reluctant than ever to sell their best players. Our owners are the worst of all worlds - we can't sign a world class player unless it has been published in the London Gazette for eight consecutive weeks that he is officially for sale, and we can't hang on to one even when they are under contract (no names Cesc Fabregas).

Gazidis and Kroenke are as much to blame as Wenger - do you think if they really wanted us to be a 'global brand' investing in some of the world's top players that they would stand by and watch TO1AW dilly-dallying around and celebrating 3rd and 4th place like its some sort of monumental achievement. Of course they wouldn't......so by definition they share the same level of aspiration and are happy to see their 'franchise' run the way that TO1AW currently does

I was trying to catch up with Sunday Supplement last night and was watching the one from two weeks ago and was surprised to see John Cross being somewhat critical of le cock  He said that we cannot win a league with coquelin as our defensive midfielder (actually referred to him as an ex Charlton player who has had 4 good months in his 7 years at the club   ), and that wenker needs to buy quality players if we are to have any chance. Of course he said (as journo's and Gooners alike do) that we are close but he cant understand why le cock wont make that push to elevate us to actual challengers

Can someone with a sewing machine knock up an "Arsenal thriving in mediocrity under Wenger" banner for the season. :rubchin:

Will there be t-shirts too? I think we have a few "passionately angry" fans that would wear them on some kind of, oh I dunno, maybe some kind of pro-Wenger / pro-Board / pro-club march of some sort or other?

Its official, "We are not in transfer mode" in the mantra for May.
For June, it will be "no deals can be done, everyone is on holiday"
For July, "There are no players available that are better than what we have"
For August "Its difficult to find players now the season has started"

I feel like the Prophet Isaiah, currently a merger of July's/August's excuses.

Cech could play out of his skin for every single game but the fella can't score goals at the other end (although he can't be any worse than what we have) and there is no way he will make up a 15-20 point deficit.

Man City, chavski, and manure all look stronger, and pool will run us close, tbh I've lost interest and only knew about cl draw by visiting this site, I certainly won't be paying to go and watch a second rate team led by a man who should have retired gracefully a few seasons back. Shame really as a brother and sister of mine go quite a bit and I would like to join them but it just irks me when I see the likes of giroud and welbeck up front and such an unbalanced team.

I feel very vexed when I think of The Arsenal and that just isn't right, of course I blame you cunnts on here for most of that  , your constant bleating is catching on :?

Anyone got any rumours about impending signings pleeeeeeaaaaase.....

There is though a consolation this weekend in that our friends from Chester le street are coming to stay with us today through till Tuesday and my mate is a makem, so we can just get pissed and forget football altogether (well our teams) :barscarf:
