FC BAYERN AWAY

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

At this stage, there should be a DVD released to commemorate the long list of Wenger humiliations from his supposed mental strength filled teams, and every AKB should be made watch it.

There was only really one outcome after we fluked a win against them last time, they weren't going to let that happen again.

Tactical genius vs tactical buffoon. Men vs boys. It's embarrassing, not for losing to one of the best teams in the world, but losing like we are some 3rd rate league 1 side. The players don't care, Sanchez looks frustrated and spent and when that happens you know you're going to struggle.

Having been deprived of a DM for nearly a decade Arsenal fans have started to view a DM as somebody who can single handedly turn around a teams defensive performance.

We have been second best all over the park and too many players - our CBs included - have lost their individual battles. Parachute any DM past or present into our team tonight and we would have got battered all over the park and on the scoreboard.

Would have been great goals from Cazorla and Monreal there. Unfortunately blowing those opportunities and Giroud with that huge overlap we just had sums up the difference between us and the best.
Agreed. Although people were doubting Coq and his earlier contributions which is why I made the comment - he is probably the only player that can come out unscathed tonight. I would have loved to see another tough tackling midfielder in the center because we need it, especially against Bayern. Schneiderlin would have been useful. So essentially, Wenger really bottled it this summer especially if Coquelin gets injured as I would argue that he is one of our most important players right now, despite the battering that we are taking tonight.

Right, if it stays 1-1, I want us to finish last, throw the next two matches. Play the kids,I don't care, I just don't want Europa.

Defensively Bayern have been appalling last 15, Giroud was stood on his own for ages, no excuse. Great finish mind.
