How would any proffessional footballer react to that

Hope Zagreb WIN....FUCK IT

He has done likewise on numerous occasions, stating tiredness or the state of pitch before the game even starts

This is a Man manager, i don't think so :banghead:
I've said for years that he's psyches the team out saying they're tired. Tell someone they#re tired often enough and they are tired.
The few days before the Spurs game was a fucking joke. Bayern away is obviously pretty taxing but Wenger wouldn't fucking shut up about how tired we would be and how much the injuries would impact on us for days.

Sure enough we looked sluggish from the first minute and half the team didn't look like they believed they should have been out there.
This alone proves Wenger is totally incompetent, no one denying he wants to win these games and yet he still comes out with this stuff prior to the games, actually harming the chances of success

The guy is a lunatic, given that and his comments on every other club/current issue drawing in unecessary conflict, such as Pulls when he was at Stoke.

The Wenger apologists took to Twitter last night to defend Arsenal's Champions league campaign.. The only defence they had was Man Utd and ManCity's poor performances last night. They pointed out Man Utd and Chelsea still need a "result" to go through.. So Zagreb away, Bayern away and Olympiacos at home are justified because Utd need a result in Wolfsburg..

Why is Arsene in the jungle wearing a long blonde wig and calling himself Lady C? :rubchin:

I thought this might happen - the media narrative once again becomes about British clubs struggling in Europe (in general), rather than focusing on the fact that we're possibly going out at this stage for the first time ever. Thanks to dire performances that have nothing to do with Man Utd or Chelsea's matches.

Klopp is getting the dippers to gel, Guardiola looks like he's going to City, Ancelotti will go to Bayern and we're still stuck with a useless fuckwit.

Happy days.

I remember his Southampton team ripping into us at St Mary's and we were lucky to get a draw but he exposed our weaknesses to high-pressing and fast-starting opposition. A few weeks later Liverpool and Chelsea did the same and ripped us to shreds.

I'm surprised no-one humoured you about this :)

Countdown to 1st June 2017: http://tinyurl.com/Wenger2017

Although we all know TOF will stay. I seen the countdown in this thread last year and the despair as he signed another contract after breaking the trophy drought.

So... Just 78 weeks and 4 days / 550 days until his contract gets extended again at the last minute :banghead:

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has 'smelt something' in Joel Campbell’s blossoming form.
After a series of loan spells away from the club, Wenger believes Campbell is ready to display the form that will make him a first-team regular.

Arsène Wenger has “smelt something” in Joel Campbell’s blossoming in an Arsenal shirt that has taken the pressure off the manager to act in the January transfer window.

Having loaned Campbell to four times in four seasons, Wenger is now keen to keep Campbell at the club, and believes the Costa Rican’s new-found confidence could result in him becoming a first-team regular.

“This season I didn’t want to [loan] him out because he has a genuine team attitude and he’s a fighter. What you want from him is to bring more offensively when he played, and recently he has shown, when he is confident, he can produce the offensive quality.”

Having struggled to get past the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mesut Özil, Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sánchez for a place on the right wing, Campbell has impressed when given the opportunity this season, catching the eye in particular during the 3-0 win against Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday.

A smart reverse pass that set up Özil for Arsenal’s third goal capped an all-round positive display for Campbell.

“I smelt something with him that is very interesting. The other night he had a positive attitude, he was not only playing safe,” Wenger said. “He’s creative. I could see that but the creativity is linked with the confidence. You open your eyes when you feel really free to take the initiative. That was a bit of his problem [before].”

Arsenal are – as always seems to be the case at this point in the season – battling a lengthy injury list of key players, this time including Aaron Ramsey (hamstring), Mikel Arteta (calf) and Francis Coq

With Ramsey’s return to the side imminent, it had looked as if Campbell’s first-team run would be curtailed, but Wenger suggested he is considering options that would enable him to go on including the player. “At the end of the day, you decide what’s best for the team. Ramsey is coming back of course… but it [might be] good to move Ramsey inside [in Coquelin’s defensive midfield position] during a game and give Campbell the opportunity.”

Campbell’s emergence could scarcely be more timely for Wenger. Asked if as a result of injuries he would be looking to add to his squad when the January transfer window opened, the Frenchman sounded relaxed. “I’ve still got enough quality, but we have an eye open,” he said.

Until recently, fans and pundits had speculated on whether Campbell, 23, would soon be moved on, having failed to make an impression since signing for Arsenal from Deportivo Saprissa in 2011. However, his demonstration this term of the necessary work ethic and hunger to compete with more established players for a place has impressed Wenger and been sufficient to cause widespread reappraisal from the stands at the Emirates Stadium.

Wenger said: “A guy who comes here very young from Costa Rica… Week in, week out to fight. He went to Lorient, Olympiakos and Villarreal, and he has learned how hard life is at the top level. Now he is ready, and he is still young.”

"Charlatan"... the very word I have used to describe him on blogs all over the internet. A business manager masquerading as a football manager. What I loathe so much about him is the way he talks, as though we are so stupid that we accept everything that comes out of his mouth as absolute gold and that he is some sort of genius. Of course, disagree with him and he visibly bristles and airily dismisses you with his "how many teams have you managed"?? And he has that army of morons backing him. How on earth do we get rid of this man???? :banghead: :cussing: :banghead:

There was, and still is a suggestion that Arseshavin was signed by Gazidis because of Wengers dithering and Gazidis' wish to make a statement. Also I've said it many times on here, I firmly believe Ozils signing was primarily done above Wengers head because of the falling ST projections, Wengers embarrassing, public, low-ball failure to get Suarez (who wanted to come to us ffs) and the need for a club of Arsenals stature to make a Marquee signing to quiten fans and media alike.

Maybe Gazidis can make a 'statement' signing again this January then as I'll be very surprised if Wenger does one.
