THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If an 8-2 sex-crime doesn't do it then nothing will. Nothing. :(
I remember reading a response to that A$$ thumping. This is what he said.... in every game you get a certain amount of scoring opportunities, some you convert. On that particular day, United just happened to convert EVERY chance they had, so he (Wenger) doesn't read too much into it.Just a sorta freak result. And with that astute assessment he drew a line under that shameful incident. Just like that....... And no doubt our board, not being as smart as the manager so they never originally saw it like that, nodded in unison.

It's not actually a failed business model. Arsenal as a business is a roaring success, that is why Kroenke keeps Wenger on. As a football team....well, complete failure.

I really don't think it would have mattered if we had signed anyone else in the summer - they would only have got injured as well

Wenger just has not got a clue how to manage a squad of players.
the injuries have all come about by his failure to successfully rotate the squad - it then has a knock on effect for every match we play. This has been going on for YEARS!!! Back in 2006 we would have all come on here and said how unlucky the team and the manager were. Well it is nearly 2016....a decade later....and the same mistakes are being repeated over and over again...by the same clueless :censored: in charge.

whatever your views are on John Cross this article is spot on
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... rd-6925349

the telling line is
"And I wouldn’t mind betting - and I’m just hazarding a guess here - that Arsenal’s medical staff advised Wenger that Sanchez needed a rest"

The Sanchez injury is obviously a sign of mis-Management, but the more frightening thing is just the overall performance yesterday. Where was the fight in the team, the will to win was zero. That is the part of things that gets to me, if we are shit then fair enough but when the likes of Giroud can't be arsed to put in an ounce of effort then what's the point. Wenger has created a losers club in which every game that requires bottle is thrown away, but the players can be seen to have achieved a level of success when we finish 3rd/4th in May. FUCK OFF YOU INCOMPETENT WANKER

The best thing to happen to Arsenal in my humble opinion is that you finish 5th or below and don't win anything this season.

The fans will go apeshit considering how much you lot have to pay for tickets these days compared to some other clubs prices.

Wenger would surely call it a day then - or be forced to.

Whilst he gets you finishing in the CL places year in, year out - he is achieving the club's target and making them money.

It's sad because even though I am a rival fan - I want to see you competing again. It's no longer the Arsenal I grew up respecting.

The modern Arsenal summed up in ten seconds on Sky Sports News this morning as I sip my morning coffee

"Calum Chambers looks like he could be the answer for Arsenal in central midfield"

"Gonzalo Higuain scores both goals as Napoli beat Inter Milan to go top of Serie A"

We have been saying this for many years now. The only way to light a fire under the complacent Kroeke's A$$ is for the CL money to dry up. We don't need to finish 5th, we need to finish 7th, we don't need the distraction of Europa either. The CL is of absolutely no benefit whatsoever to the fans as we have zero chance of competing in the KO stage. Hell we cannot even compete in the group stage anymore. The ONLY thing that keeps Wenger protected is CL participation.
