Bournemouth at home

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

An average performance. We didn't look like creating much until the set piece goal. Then Bournemouth had to come out of their shell which suited us. Had we some players who could finish, we should have won comfortably. Chambers did ok. He kept it simple which is all about what you can expect for now. I still don't understand the point of leaving Ozil and Ramsey on for another 90.

Should've scored 4 or 5, but it was a decent win and a fairly good performance.

Some useful rotation finally, with Gabriel playing really well, Gibbs/Chamberlain reasonable and only Chambers looking a bit shaky. Needs a loan spell because he just doesn't have the experience now at his age.

I was going to say that Giroud's movement is woeful, but can something that doesn't exist be described?

Big congrats to Cech for breaking the clean sheet record.......I sense a statue in the offing ( or just get the BFUG ) to stand outside the Emirates.

Happy to be top :barscarf:
Not convinced it will last, unless we buy quality in Jan and not scrimp.

Never been so underwhelmed to be top of the league.

Giroud's reaction to Gabriel's goal very strange.

I thought all the players brought in did OK.

Gibbs didn't fuck up, Chambers did OK and appeared more confident as the game went on, the Ox worked hard, made some good runs and passes and Gabriel was aggressive, passed pretty well and was a threat in their box all game.

For once our crossing was pretty good, but unless the ball landed on the head of the French lampost, glued to the penalty spot not a lot came of it.

There was one instance when the Ox did brilliantly to get to the dead ball line inside the box, but, instead of busting a gut to get to the near post, Giroud stood on his heels and watched.
The last couple of games have demonstrated that, despite swinging a leg and getting a couple of goals in recent matches, he really weakens other aspects of our game.

I feel the same way. I'm happy that we are top, but after the drubbing we got at Southampton it just sours it.
Oh and they couldn't beat the might West Ham

Most important thing was the win , but going top of the league has rarely ever felt so hollow.
