WALCOTT - which position is best etc?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Would have absolutely no qualms with us selling him. Hideously average player. Been with us a decade, hasn't improved at all, offers very little to our team...

Thanks to his age when he signed, Sven and his agent Walcott the PR concept is a mile away from the reality of Walcott the footballer.

The bloke is a fucking fraud. It is a damning indictment on the club that he has strong-armed us twice for absolutely outrageous deals. Separate Theo the legend from Theo the footballer and we have got a pretty piss-poor return over the 10 years (yes 10 years) he has been with the club.

Liverpool would have snapped him up for £20-25m after selling Sterling for double that without a doubt - instead we throw as much money at him as we physically can.

He is fucking abysmal week after week - not just struggling for form or not quite getting it right but actually awful.

Walcott,Gibbs and Oxlade give away goals from situations where team had comfortable possession.

So frustrating.Can't they stop this?.

How often do you see him running with the ball only to fall over it?? You wouldn't see it at an under 4 game FFS and the bloke is on 100 grand a week :banghead:

Walcott's career has been built on hype. The Ox is Walcott mark 2.But they both get an easy ride from the media because they are both English. And you can add Wilshere to that list.Would i be sorry if we sold all of them? No

Imagine if Walcott was French.

The entire country would be scratching their heads as to how he is still here and on mega bucks.

The guy has absolutely no resolve, no spine, no desire. I always suspected that we should have sold him the day after he scored the England hat trick. The media were hyping him up massively and the bin dippers or city would have paid stupid money for him. An opportunity missed but it has been obvious for years that wally has no balls whatsoever. We will look back in years to come and rue a missed talent...for athletics!

Dare I suggest that our esteemed manager stop buying second rate shite from Southampton. If he is going to continue to lure youngsters from their clubs how about sticking to the likes of Barca where at least their kids have quality and ability and the chances of finding a footballer are significantly greater.

I don't think that is the biggest problem and nor do I think it is the total lack of a football brain that is to blame - the biggest fault is that the c.unt thinks that he is way better than he actually is, and therefore fails to see his weaknesses  I honestly believe that the guy thinks that he has the ability to play for barca  , while the rest of us sane people realise that the dog and duck pub team is about his level
I have wanted this product of impressive marketing sold for a few years now and I have seen fcuk all improvement in him since I first floated the idea of selling him
