It could go either way, but I'll agree with Falkirk Goon's analysis
I don't think Martinez is a fraud. I think he is poor at coaching defence. I am not saying I would like him at Aresenal but I like his ethos.

everton have been mediocre in the league, especially at home. don't see any reason why we can't carve out a tight victory. i'm sure everyone will be ranting in the sports supplements on sunday about how wenger has turned it around though

Everton just beat Chelsea, and we can't grab a win to save our lives, so I'm expecting another defeat 2-1.

We could win on Saturday, but I don't see how anyone could predict it. We are shit at the moment, and I have no confidence in this team to produce any sort of result. The funny thing is that even if we do win, it will do nothing more than push us towards a top 4 finish. Anyway to my fellow irish posters, happy paddy's day, and Wenger out.

If we dont qualify for the CL , the board will simply tighten it's belt and spend even less .
Under such circumstances only Wenger is capable of pulling it off !
Thus he is again safe and Golden AND a *word censored*. !
Lukaku will destroy gabriel and kos....sad but True.

4 - 1

and clueless will come out with the tired lame old excuses...and all will still be rosey in his garden of millions of unspent £'s....

Cl qualification is vital. Without it quality players like Giroud, Walcott, Mertersacker, Kallstrom..... won't be prepared to sign for us

The pressure to win anything, beside the 4th place trophy, needs to be completely eradicated. Therefore a win on Saturday might offer a glimmer of hope that the PL can still be won. That is going to keep the pressure on this fragile squad, whereas dropping more points and ending all hope, will free them up to go on an unbeaten run, thereby clinching that coveted 4th spot. You watch, I guarantee you that if we drop points, Wenger will ruefully admit our chance is gone but the season is not over as it is important that we.......... you know the rest
We can only hope we finish 7th then ! :barscarf: :barscarf:

I remember a 3-0 defeat a few years ago. Arteta scored a silly own goal. And I thought to myself. Arteta was in his prime during his Everton years, yet he was now Arsenal captain in his decline, and returning to his former club that wouldn't have him back.

It was just symbolic of the bizarre and horrible management by Wenger. As shouldnt Arteta have played for Arsenal in his prime years, and ended up at Everton later on, not the other way around?

The decision to make Arteta club captain is indicative of Wengers thinking. He either doesn't value the captaincy, or has a warped sense of judgement in regards to what and who should lead.

I literally cannot stand Arteta. The sight of him in discussion with Wenger is painful - as its bazel and fawlty unintentionally bringing upon the teams demise. They dont have a clue, and are ignorant to their own naivety and limitations.

It now seems that opposing managers will come out and defend Wenger making statements in the press about how 'inspirational' he is.

This. 8)

We have a team of spineless bluffers. They can't deliver when it matters. But give them a game like this when a win is really too little too late then they will suddenly start playing like Brazil 70 and win 0-3 and both Giroud and Walcott will score and Wenger will talk about this being his "best ever Arsenal squad" and "mental strength" and Dipshit Theo will talk about "the players met secretly after the Barca game and a few things that needed to be said were said" and Wenger will then talk about "leaders all over the pitch" and "maybe one or two percent off winning the league" and blah blah, blahblahblah, blah. :censored:

We won't win, it'll keep us in the race. Once we drop more points and are well and truly out of it, then the winning will start. That 4th place spot has to be under threat for the winning to begin.
