Mourinho talking about getting a new job in July. I wonder if we have signed a pre contract with him. But won't say fuck all until the end of May.

I think we would be a better proposition than Man Utd.

Has Helbby given you some of his special brownies, mate?

Not a chance we're getting rid of Mr Myopic anytime soon and our board wouldn't even look at moaning Mourinho.

VoiceOfReason wrote:Martin Keown talking absolute bollocks on Fletch and Sav right now.

Savage said that if the season peters out in the way we're expecting, it's time for Wenger to go. However, he said that he wouldn't be sacked (Keown, defensively: "He most certainly wouldn't), and that it would be up to Wenger to choose to walk away.

Keown then went off on an embarrasing tirade: "But he's a man of honour, so he won't walk away. He's earned the right to decide when he leaves".

He talked about what AW has done to the club and our BRAND OF FOOTBALL; called him a 'visionary' for the new stadium and the training ground; and added that someone of his quality should be on the board when he does leave the manager's post.

Even Ian Wright questioned that final line, saying: "How would that be a good thing"?

Keown is a complete, utter *word censored* IMO. No two ways about it.
Unfortunately, Keown is a true believer in TOF :( Even in spite of TOF not bringing him back as a coach after the CL final in 2006.

Keown on Wenger "he has earned the right to leave on his own terms". I know he is a Wenger ass licker, but this is pathetic. No one is guaranteed a job for life, and there have been enough Wenger fuck ups to say he should go.

Luis Enrique's side defeated the Gunners 3-1 at the Camp Nou on Wednesday to seal a 5-1 aggregate victory in the Champions League round of 16.

But despite winning by a convincing margin, Wenger feels the Spanish and European champions have gone backwards and that Premier League clubs will soon be able to compete in the Champions League again.

When asked how England's top flight can succeed in European competition, Wenger replied: “By getting the players here. Football belongs first to the quality of the players.
I believe that with more income in England the best players will slowly all come to England and that will be the answer.

“They [teams from other countries] have already dropped off. For years in England we were always in the last [stages], sometimes you played an English team in the quarter-final and the semi-final of the Champions League. I believe we'll come back again.

“These teams [like Barcelona and Bayern Munich] are not uncatchable, and the regret I have about the two games against Barcelona maybe they were more beatable than ever before. They are not so much out of reach.”

So wait. On Wednesday night losing to Barca was absolutely normal because they're the best team ever and nobody can compete with them right? Yet by Friday night, Barca are average and "have gone backwards"

Please also note that Lord Wenker has AGAIN subtly justified and prepared the ground for defending high ticket prices and the club needing MORE income. Maybe that extra income will help him beat Leicester, Spuds, Monaco and Zagreb. Maybe even get beyond the last 16!

Only the most deluded fool or a total liar could say these things. We were beaten 5 - 1 by a team who payed about double what we offered for Suarez. In which parallel universe could we be catching the top teams.

Ian Wright is really turning into a condescending twat, who is he to judge the fans on whether they have a right to want the manager gone or not?

As has been repeated so many times in so many ways on this thread it's not just one or two things people are complaining about it is a multitude of sins repeated ad infinitum over many seasons that people are fed up with.

Unfortunately i honestly think the remainder of the season will see the team play their socks off to keep the manager here as they all know their services at the club are on the line if a new manager comes in :censored:

He actually called him "The Boss" before he quickly corrected himself. And he spoke of the players going out and playing their socks off for the manager. Spot on... not for the fans, not for the FA cup or to win the league, but for CL qualification which will keep Wengers "fantastic" qualification record intact. In other words "for the manager." What a load of :censored: we have to put up with.

When the FA and the media tried to demonise Wright in the 90s it was the arsenal fans who stood by him, he didn't question who was or was not a genuine Arsenal fan then and equally he shouldn't do so now. He is entitled to his opinion on Wenger but not entitled to question those who do not agree with him .

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "It was a very significant win for us and a mental test. We continued the level of performance against Barcelona. I like this group, I like the mental attitude - it has been questioned and it hurts me. When you work every day with them you see how much effort they put in."

Words from our dear leader. Is there a more deluded human being on the planet?

"I like the mental attitude" - it's hilarious, we meet a team who are in shit form at home, and once we win, it justifies his outdated approach. It won't be long before we hear him say something along the lines of "overall I believe that qualifying for the champions league shows remarkable consistency".

He also said "we are not flavour of the week".
Trying to say all the flak he is getting is aimed at the club.
Once again not one reporter wants to reply the banners are naming him, not the club.
We love our club, its him we detest.

So the conclusion surely, is if they put so much effort in, and we are still in the position we are in, it must then mean they are simply not good enough. Basically a bunch of average triers... or am I not allowed to deduce that???
Wtf is going on in the media, in the football world actually, that this crazy old man is allowed to trot out this crap, a lot of it contradictory, week in week out, without being challenged or questioned?? The man is like a French Svengali.
