As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So when the "money clubs" win "we can't possibly compete" but when a team like Atletico, and Dortmund in previous years, perform above expectations it somehow justifies him not spending
To anyone who wants the Victims to win the league because would disprove his theory that we can't compete with the oligarchs; while it would, he'd just turn it round in his favour and come out with shit like this
Atletico were obviously cheating by using something called "tactics". Never mind FFP UEFA need to look into the unfair use of tactics by most teams in Europe

If the Mickeys win the league he will come out with the "they only played one game per week and were little bit fortunate with injuries" crap.

Came out with that crap in todays press conference
Atletico are a great example, not only because they ridicule our complaints about financial constraints given the disparity between them and Barca/Madrid but because they have shown how to cope with losing your best players. Sell Torres? Let's get Aguero in. Sell him? Let's get Falcao. Sell him? You get the picture.
It is an absolute disgrace that the Spanish tax authorities have sat by and watched Atletico pocket these huge fees only to splurge most of them out again straight away given the huge tax bill they owe in relation to their turnover/profit and against the backdrop of the dire Spanish economy. But credit to the club, they have been very prudent in the transfer market but not allowed their star players to go unreplaced.
