As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
and so the circle almost completes and a new one starts again with the usual 'we want stability'......'only one or two super quality signings'.......'business will be done late'.......
Where are all the AKB's saying give him another chance, he'll have 100m to spend.......blah blah blah.

Doesnt he just love it when the journos all hang on every syllable of his unintellible nonsense and then laugh uncontrollably at one of his hilairious quips. His lopsided smug grin goes into overdrive and his beady eyes dart around the room looking for adulation and adoration.
Contrast this with the rare occasion he actually gets a decent probing question or someone has the audacity to criticise or comment on his actual (lack of) tactics, substitutions, transfers etc and we see a very different Wenger. Gone is the lopsided smug grin to be replaced by the twitchy, figety and prickly " how dare you question me?" "Me?" " Dont you know who I am? I am Arsene Wenger who revolutionised British football, singlehandedly built the Emirates, qualified for the CL 16 yrs in a row. I have worked for 40 yrs in football. How dare you question me?"
Just a pity plenty of the journos and pundits actually buy into ths myth and dont actually look a little closer at the footballing side of things rather than letting him dine off past glories and ancient history
Whilst I agree with you, I also think that a number of journo's see wenger in the same way we do - an absolute joke who needs to be kicked out the door asap - BUT because they have to tow the line set by wenger and the Arsenal Press Office - they are not permitted to ask any questions that might ruffle Le Knobhead and spoil his happy press conference/s....if they do they are quickly 'marked' and no longer permitted to ask questions, and so their paper/employer doesn't get the 'latest news' from Wenger and so they may well be out of a job.
All these press conferences/interviews are Sanitised by Arsenal Press Office it is an extremely well oiled machine that does not allow for anyone to spoil the fantasy and illusion that they think we do not see through.
(Edit:)Personally I would like to see someone like Jeremy Paxman or even Mourinho or Fergie give him a right good fecking grilling. he would shit himself - and then storm out of the interview...yes, he is an ideal candidate to be a politician...and we all know politicians are a bunch of self serving, lying, cheating *word censored*.
Apparently le cock has often gone down the ferguscum route of banning journo's but it isn't reported - on Sunday supplement they have a right old laff about it They also talk about the fact that the cosy relationship with the press has largely gone and these days he barely tolerates press conferences and constantly looks at his watch during them as though he is just in a hurry to get out

Naturally he is in a hurry - he has scouting to do 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year
Great times VT celebrations well underway and we can safely expect f all in the transfer window -
“It will be busy but the main thing for us will be to keep the stability because we feel we are close. We want to add something that makes us even stronger. But number wise it will not be massive."
Crikey we were so close at Anfield,Etihad & Stamford Bridge - damn those injuries.
