I have argued for months now that David villa wants out and is available if any club making serious bids (that probably rules us out then :oops: :cry: ) but I will def "knock one out" if we signed him 8) He has been marginalised at barca for some time now and at 31 years old he don't have time to wait around. £15m for a guy that age might seem a lot of money to some but he is a proven quality goalscorer at club and international level and is the type of poacher that we have missed for a long time now :cry:

Augie twitter is awash with this story its gathering pace so i reckon it wont happen wenger would have a cornary if he had to spend 16m on anybody never mind a 31 yr old :lol:

great player but 16 mill for a 31yo may only have a couple of years left in him so I SAY no but yes for a loan

This! Exactly the sort of player we need right NOW! Fuxk potential and sell on fee's. we bought Santi who had actual quality and look at him go in his half of English football.

Just seems too good to be true tho :cry:

Wenger needs to secure top four. He wants to quieten the growing fan unrest. He wants to stop the media scrutiny. He wants to feel clever again. Loved again.

Hes doing what everybody (except the AKB's) said he should have done years ago by clearing out the deadwood (or trying to clear them out cause some of it is not shiftable).
So a couple of proven signings would for me not be unexpected. Its all about the top four. Hes scared of losing his "record"

David Villa to Arsenal may well be on. Barca still owe Arsenal money from the Song deal, the clubs have a gd relationship, player is keen
