THE BOARD - Kroenke, Usmanov and Finance

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Denver Nuggets - finished 4th from 5 in the NW section of the Western Conference
Colorado Avalanche - bottom of the NHL Western Conference Central
Colorado Rapids - bottom of the MLS Western Conference
Colorado Mammoth - straight out of the play offs in NLL
St Louis Rams - finished bottom of the NFC West

How lucky we are to have such a brilliant guy at the helm. Forget BBQs - I will hire the Albert Hall and mortgage my house to pay for the booze when this wig wearing c.unt fucks off and sells to someone who gives a shit. Truly the worst thing to ever happen to our club this leech walking in
Stan is more worried about getting his NFL team to move to LA than anything to do with The Arsenal. He knows Wenger will make him a profit. That's all he cares about.

With a bit of luck, the raiders and chargers will screw him over on that one 8)

If the Raiders ever make it back to LA it might rekindle my once passing interest in throwball. :rubchin:

Two names, bitches;

Marcus Allen.
Howie Long.

Could never understand how a market area as big as LA hasn't had an nfl team for the past 20+ years

Amazing now that 3 nfl teams are trying to move there (either feast or a famine  ) - of course for wiggy it is all about the increased revenue for him as LA would dwarf st louis :x Am a bit confused how a joint bid between the raiders and chargers can work - I assume both teams would move to LA ? :?

I would like to hear Usmanov's view on this transfer window . The only way things will change is if he is in and then wenger is out and we can move forward .

Don't let The Cook hear you saying that !

Sod off Jabba

Much rather have an owner with a proven track record in failing sports franchises

I listen to some of this hackneyed old bollocks about the likes of Abramovich, the Glazers and Sheikh Mansoor ruining football and it makes me laugh. They've all invested massively in their clubs, taken them to the next level, built first class facilities and academies and rewarded their fans with some of the world's top talent

We've got a fucking wig wearing turd who turned up after the stadium was built, the property being redeveloped and piggy backed the Sky money and sat there rewarding us with a constant stream of exits of our top players and awarding Le Fraud ever increasing pay packets and new contracts

I can only guess that the alleged "Kroenke Business Model" came into play?
Spend enough to get Champions League qualification, and hence make a profit.
But do not spend significantly more to make a title challenge, which may not be successful, because that might risk the profit.

Kroenke is a huge huge problem and one that fan pressure alone will struggle to resolve. The bloke doesn't give a flying fuck if he's popular or not and frankly won't be too bothered if people are nasty about him whilst he swans about on his ranch.

That said having a board and most importantly manager who have all bought into this profits before trophies mantra has made it an immeasurably smoother ride. Whilst he doesn't care about popularity what he will care about is negative press to the extent that it starts to damage the value of his investment - a manager who was prepared to stand up to this regime rather than be complicit and/or other board members challenging him could spark something. But unfortunately the only person who has really done so is that turncoat rat Nina Bracewell-Smith who lost her credibility years ago.

Can I just take this chance to reserve a special mention for a perennially under-rated villain of the piece. Peter Hill-Wood you are a prize prick who sold his birthright and lurches from one embarrassment to the next. Condescending wanker who would have his ancestors turning in their graves, I haven't subjected myself to the most recent accounts but the last ones I looked at from 2013 showed that he paid himself a 75k salary which really sums up his greed. I certainly won't be shedding a tear when somebody wades through the clouds of stale cigar smoke to find that the piss-soaked port-addled body of yours has given up hope like any sane Arsenal fan.
