The quotes above, all of which are from Sharon, show that he had a pretty unpleasant side. He had a ruthless streak.
He also did a lot of good for Israel though and it shouldn't be forgotten. He was a man of the era and his methods show it. I think we have a more moderate regime in power today although peace will never be realised in the region owing to fault on both sides.

I agree with the Arafat and Egyptian quotes though.
Other quote is a long complex discussion, sends thread off on a tangent.

Trigger is an absolute legend. One of my favourite characters in one of my favourite shows of all time.

favourite ever 'Triggerism' was his reference to his broom. He got an award for having the same broom for many years. It turned out that he'd changed both the head and the handle on many occasions but still considered it to be the same one! LMAO when he came out with that one (I think it was in the Batman and Robin episode)

loved Trigger ..he made a great programme even better..my favourite Trigger moment was when he was telling Del and Mike in The Nag's Head about his ex girlfriend.. Trig explained that things were going well between him and the girl and then she suggested a weekend away in a small country hotel.. Trigger went on to say that once the weekend was over they broke up..Del and Mike were intrigued as to why she dumped him... Trig said it may have been because she actually. wanted to go away for that weekend with him.
Trivia; What was Trigger's name in Fools and Horses. ?
