Let's All Laugh At Man Utd! (Merged thread)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I wouldn't write us off before a ball is kicked :)

Let's see how we do in the transfer market first. Van Gaal is here to install a philosophy and ideas, then when he buggers off he 2/3 seasons we'll have a blueprint to work with.

I am estatic as are most Utd fans. After Disaster Moyes, things are looking up again.

Van Gaal will win you trophies, I have no doubt about that.

Just a real shame Agent Moyes was sussed out before he could do any real long term damage!

I suspect VG would be happy to get shot and invest the money elsewhere.

Whatever happens it's sure to be entertaining.
what with RVP being made club captain at the expense of shrek , you wonder what shrek makes of that ? Maybe Van Gaal doesn't fancy him and things he will kick off giving him an excuse to get rid.

Also Manure need two full backs (well they need a whole defence) , makes you wonder if they would make a move for Sagna and Cole , no transfer fees and it would free up other money for the two centre backs and midfielders they need.

I honestly thought he'd be here for 3/4 years and do just that. I celebrated his sacking nearly as much as us winning the league, I have no shame in admitting that either!

Maybe you could have a word with George Best and find out what his views are about it

Plenty of talking the talk from Van Gaal considering that Van Persie, Rooney, Mata and De Gea apart there is barely a player there currently worthy of the shirt

They do well to pay Sagna what he wants and buy Cesc too. That would still leave them needing a proper holding midfielder (not 1989's "exactly what we need" hod carrier :D ) and 2 centre halves just to have a chance7

What I will say is this - which club's warchest do you expect to get opened first.....ours or United's ?

I'd expect Fulchester United's to be opened before ours. :(

Shot his bolt unfortunately, hope Zaha didn't do the same with his daughter. Bet he absolutely fucking ruined her, Moyes will need all of his contract pay-off for her medical bills

Rumour mill churning out that the Nothern filth are very close to signing Kroos, and are planning to also make a swoop for Hummel and Reus. Ffs this Must NOT Happen!

Also, thought you needed to have CL footie to attract these types of players. Or were we being conned all along?

It's a myth that only the clubs in the Champions League will be able to attract the big names. Look at City when they were not in the competition, they still got big names in.

We are going to throw money at the problem and hope it sticks by the looks of things.

I can't wait to be honest, our squad has needed a revamp for a long time. Fergie was as stubborn as an ox and let it get stale.

You're not wrong there. "Champions League Football" is just agent speak for "more money", of course the two go hand in hand to an extent because generally the CL clubs pay the best money.
