As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Of course he's re- signed. Apart from the fact it was never in doubt - if he was leaving they would be on the hunt and THAT wouldn't be kept a secret and the rumours of potential successors would be everywhere.
100% 2 more years done deal.
Remi Garde has quit Lyon despite the owner Michel Aulas wanting him to stay on till the new stadium is complete.
He has been mooted before as a future manager for us in the past, so make of that what you will. But if we are going for tried and untested, then my vote goes to Thomas Tuchel that's just left Mainz. Ambitious manager that took unfancied Mainz 05 to Europe. Possible Klopp in the making and is being tipped to take over from Joachim Low.
His pronouncements are worth listening to as are those of anyone that thinks Tony Pulis should be anywhere near N5.
We are not some mid-table sh*t club, you might as well get Timmy from Borehamwood. His win ratio is the best in Premier league history for the tiny totts
As far as TP is concerned he was one of the biggest spenders in the premier league for his last 3 years in the premier yet his tactics didn't progress. Their away record was shocking and only masked by Fulham's which was truly dreadful.
The rabid, sister-bothering,one eyed gene mutations that pass for fans up at the twatannia staium were glad he went because he was no different from AW in that his tactics had gone tragically stale. It will happen at Palace too.
yes he's done a remarkable job at Palce but his squad isn't that bad and he is essentially a more media lovable version of Fat Sam.

In that case I'll (Sadly) fore go winning the FA Cup...if we can get the ole cdger to leave of his own free will.

Don't tease Rodders, we all know the board would offer his cold dead corpse a ten year deal.
I remember Charlton heston saying something along the lines of "From my cold dead hand" in relation to anyone wanting to take away his (right to owning a) gun...I get the feeling Wenger has a similar mantra when it comes to his contract/s with Arsenal.
You for get some of our players think of AW as something close to a father figure and may end up busting a blood vessel to win the cup for him so he stays. They aren't stupid. They know a new manager could make them work to their absolute limits in all manner of styles of football and not just the responsibility free style we have now.
They know what sides their bread's buttered. Even if Palmieri knew sh*t about sh*t, it would have been for our benefit if he'd kept his trap shut as the players would prefer AW to stay.

Yes but would prefer option 3, we win and he uses that as a cue to step lively out the door marked exit.
That would be seemly and we would all be respectful of that, anything else is going to be a bloodbath and would destroy the good relationship he once had with ALL of the fans

I think it had to be the semi final he lost if we wanted him out this summer. He would have had to face the fans and media and explain that away whereas if he loses the cup final he can go into hiding.
I'm distraught that he is staying. The only difference the cup final result will make is to the nature of the announcement. If we lose it will be a low key thing.

Nope.
He will stay, and the majority will still back him - and always will. Not to mention that our collapse was so spineless that 4th is being heralded as an achievement again. If we had been right in it after 30-32 games then collapsed horrifically to a comfortable 4th we would be getting panned in the press. But because we bottled it earlier and more horrifically we are now hearing lines like "Xth season in the CL in a row" and "what if Ramsey wasn't injured".
The idea that he has to leave if we don't win relies on one of two things: either that his new deal is contingent on winning a trophy or that he will accept he's failed and walk away. Neither happening imo.
I think his position is completely untenable if we lose (it’s completely untenable either way if we are being honest), in fact I think the BFG’s equaliser against Wigan may very well turn out to be Wenger’s very own Mark Robbbins moment.
He was a dead man walking that day, widespread derision at the Podolski substitution, our best chance of silverware in years seemingly slipping away along with the prospect of his contract extension. I can’t see any way we can lose the final and for the club to be able to find a way to spin the merits of a new 2 year deal for the manager.
Five more days, five more days til he fucks off
Five more days five more days I pray
Five more days five more days til he fucks off
Til he fucks off with his Arsene way
