I may fall out with some people on here over this but thank fuck this is over with.

While I have every sympathy for the family and kids (but not for the twat she married) this has been conducted in a farcical way and like a circus.

Nobody deserves to die this young but many do and I have no idea why this is being portrayed as a Princess Di moment.

To a degree I agree with my husband that from start to finish its a been a complete media circus and although to a point I can accept her will to see her boys right it has always sat uncomfortably with me.

I got quite upset when Gus told me that she had died but my sadness was for those poor boys who are too young to even comprehend what the hell is happening. No one derserves to die young and for ,,
children to be involved makes it all the more tragic.

Everybody has and always will have different views on this but all I would like to say is I have never has a good feeling on that thing that she married, before she was diagnosed with terminal cancer he was shagging everything in sight and was in all intents and purposes a violent fucking thug but for me and maybe this is the woman view but her ex Jeff Brazier has been an absolute oustanding person. He has shielded those boys from the absolute media frenzy and I think that now that she has gone he will continue to do so and all the while that worm she married will do the interviews and make hs money and give it the big un til he gets out of prison for the second time and he'll be photographed shagging anything with a pulse at the same time saying the Jade'wanted him to move on'......grrrrr

I am upset as a mother of 3 beautiful girls and my heart aches today for those 2 boys that will never understand why their mother, whatever anyone thought about her, has been cruelly taken away. My hope is that Jeff will continue how he has been in previous weeks and protect those boys from unneccessary upset and get them through a very painful experience.

RIP Jade but maybe now it will all get put to bed and her boys to be left alone...

Bit of a tough one for her boys on monthers day.

But it beggers the question now as to why she did not want to see her boys on mothers day. Did she know that Sunday was her last day. :?:

My auntie died at just 33 of cancer. She was diagnosed on the friday with it and died 5 days . This like mine will hurt her family big time. I just hope for her family's sake that this circus now comes to an end...

I don`t remember our esteemed PM paying tribute to Natasha Richardson??
Who incidentally also left behind two young sons. And who will remember Mothers Day as the the day they buried their mum.

Was he asked a direct question about Natasha??

He certainly was about Jade.

I don't see a problem with him answering the question in a dignified, compassionate manner; in fact, as PM, that's how he should respond.

If he'd said "no comment" or a similar opinion to yours, then he would have been criticised.

How should he have answered, considering it would be broadcast throughout the world??

If he was asked directly to comment on Natasha, then I'm sure he would have commented in a compassionate and dignified way.

I don't see what the big deal is...

Why should we look to find fault in some very nice words from the PM. Who knows, maybe he's met Jade before, or maybe cancer is close to his heart, or maybe he sympathises for other reasons... is it really necessary to pick fault at what he said? I don't think so. Just take it on face value. They were nice words, after all.

Prime Minister leads tributes doesn`t sound like answering a question to me!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7957852.stm

And here`s a quote from the telegraph discussion board which sums things up properly from my point of view.

"The 'peculiar brutality' shown to Goody is because she wholly embodied shallowness, ignorance, loud-mouthed exhibitionism, the decay of culture and the dumbing-down of standards. That's the reason people didn't like her."

Oh dear, I'm embarassed for you.

Watch the video pixie

Do you REALLY think Gordon Brown was "LEADING" the tributes??

It wouldn't have sounded as good if the headline was "Doris from next door leads the tributes" would it?

You shouldn't just read headlines and make assumptions. Use your brain... that's what it's for!

He was asked about Jade, and gave his response. End of.

He wasn't asked about Natasha.

And as for that quote you liked...

"she wholly embodied shallowness, ignorance, loud-mouthed exhibitionism, the decay of culture and the dumbing-down of standards. That's the reason people didn't like her"

Ignorance? shallow? dumbing down? - blimey, that could just as easily be taliking about you!

Finally, don't just read headlines... read the content. You'll learn a lot more.

All those people who have made a quote would have been put in a position where the media ring up and they are on the spot.

If the PM ignores the request, it looks bad.

He has to say something so he said something that made sense.

McRirick , for all his eccentricity, said something interesting too.

Oh you have resorted to personal insults now, because someone voices an opinion you don`t like! I can assure you g88ner, that description is nothing like me, and I have no intention of reading or watching news about her. I am sick to the back teeth of hearing about her! End of! :banghead:

No, pixie... opinions are fine as long as there's substance behind them; yours have a Phil Brown logic to them.

You criticise the PM's comments, yet offer NO explanation on how YOU - if you were PM - would handle a direct question on Jade? - and how (and why! :? ) YOU would turn the question into a tribute to Natasha Richardson??

You say Jade is earning money for "personal gain", yet the money raised has gone to her family (especially her young children) and also to Marie Curie Cancer Care... none of the money will be for her to spend because she'll be long gone! how selfish of her!

You dismiss the fact shes helped raise cervical cancer awareness, yet all evidence seems to suggest she's done just that. In fact, The Independent have written that screenings have gone UP 50% in the last 10 days, and the government are reviewing the minimum age that screenings should start.
http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style ... 51723.html

But, of course, instead of answering any of the questions I've posed or explained your stance logically, you've gone the Phil Brown route and commented on the petty stuff, as they take little thought or knowledge to pull me up on. The "personal insults" that you're referring to were copied from the quote YOU posted saying they echoed YOUR feelings on Jade.  what? double standards?

You're a joke, and the maddening thing is, you'll read this post, and the only part that'll strike a chord with you is my "personal insult" at the end.
