Agreed!! I don't know why we're still having this argument.harryo63 wrote:dennilson and song . both shite and exposed today against chelsea. not good enough ,never will be . no matter wat wenger tells u
Song, Denilson, Eboue plus Diaby, Walcott and a few others are good enough to see off Bolton, Wolves or Sp**s but that's not what Arsenal should be about.
We need to get back above Man U and the Chavs and these players will NEVER allow us to do that. They don't have the desire or Arsene's beloved "football intelligence".
I need to think hard to remember when we last beat one of our major rivals in a game that really mattered - Cardiff 2005 with a totally different team??
Surely Arsene can see what is blindingly obvious to most of us ????

Jesus Magic, your desparation to defend Denilson at all costs is becoming almost as laughable as Wenger's!! Song was much the better of the 2 in all aspects of the game, and the criticism you have is that he didn't attack the ball enough? You then compound it by trying to equate Song's overall performance with Denilson's!!

I don't care what any statistics say: anyone that had their eyes open and facing the telly during that match would have seen Denilson giving the ball away time after time - even when under no presurre at all!!

I thought at the time, and still believe, that it was a mistake for Wenger to take Song off instead of Denilson. Wasn't a big fan of Song initially but I have seen the improvement in his game. Alas, I can't say the say for the Brazilian version of David Hillier!!!

Or I have a separate opinion to you
Well Denilson didn't seem to go for any header's, I just don't expect him too whereas it was more noticeable with Song. As for what he actually did, I felt he kept the ball, no more and no less then that. You evidentialy saw differently and I thought Denilson was poor in the second half

Really Donaldo?
I thought we bossed the midfield for the majority of the first half and just lacked the cutting thrust/the final ball. Song was everywhere in that period and Essen/Mikel/Lampard were all having a relatively quiet game.
Where Chelsea did have the advantage was up front and in their distribution from out wide. It was only in the second half when Song had gone off that the Chelsea midfield got on top of the game.
