piresistible wrote:Lets get one thing straight here. No matter how much you want to blame Arsene Wenger for Arsenal being smashed up more than Ricky Hatton you can't.

You can't blame Wenger for Gibbs slipping and you can't blame Wenger for that Portuguese lady boy being able to kick a ball better than anyone in the world of football.

Trust me, it is easy to blame Wenger but think about it. Was it really his fault that Arsenal were destroyed tonight? Not in my opinion. Arsenal did everything we wanted at the beginning of the game. We got into United faces and made the kind of start we desired more than a bar of chocolate. What happened? Lady luck kicked us hard in the bollocks that's what happened. I feel so bad for Gibbs. He was shattered after his slip and he wasn't the only one. The rest of the lads were too. They were killed off completely by the second. Credit must go to Manchester United. I hate them but they deserved to go through over the two legs. I also feel a little for Fletcher. At first I laughed but I suppose that was cruel. Nah, allw that

You are right when you say that gibbs was very unlucky and cannot be blamed for the first goal but after that your arguements are ridiculous  Seriously though, the 2nd goal went in cos ladyboy can kick the ball hard ??? What kind of bullshit is that ? It went in cos we have a sub-standard keeper in goals who dived under the fcuking ball  Jesus christ man will you look at the fcuking replay of that goal again and come back on here and defend the keeper. That is wenger's keeper who again he spouted bullshit about lately proclaiming him to be the cream of the premiership  How many have stated all season that he aint top quality ? How many of stated on here in the last 3 days that he will never be top quality and that is coming on the back of an improved run of form. While you are at it watch a replay of the 1st goal and tell me where was he diving for that goal ? The panel on rte last night highlighted the fact that he dived out to the left when park was shooting despite the fact that the whole goals was on his right  Almunia is an ok keeper but will never ever be top quality and it is wenger that has "settled for 2nd best" by having him as our number 1

let me explain it to you percy, we have achieved more this season than we did last year, thats progress!!

you cannot keep going on about the invinsible season! stop living in the past!! you are as bad as the man utd fans who keep going on about winning the treble!

Swale the team selection that I refer to in my earlier post includes playing van persie on the left wing of a 5 man midfield in wembley and last night when he is anything but a left winger  Last week in mancland he played diaby on the left winger when he is also not a left winger (tho I am not sure what he is exactly  ) Tactics like that do not work and are as baffling to the players as they are to the fans :?

I understand why you might try to point to reaching two semi's as progress as well swale but lets be fair we have had two of the easiest cup runs in the history of football  I doubt if you name one seriously good side that we met pre both semi's and of course when we faced good opposition we crashed and burned

We came fourth last year, after leading the league for the first half of the season, and won nothing and we have come fourth this year and won nothing yet you see progress?

You can try explaining it to me Swale but you will have a fucking hard job convincing me our club is going in the right direction.

On the one hand you, quite arrogantly, tell me to forget the past but then you use it as the yardstick to show progress!

Very confusing!

 :?

well the progress is reaching two semi finals isnt it?! come on use your brain!

shall we just forget playing anymore and just live on the fact that we went a season unbeaten?

things change, this is a different squad, players dont stay good forever, trust me, things at Arsenal have been a lot worse than this!

you have to let things go mate, Pele was a superb footballer but i doubt he would be much cop now!

Tell me to use my brain? Please Swale you are making yourself look very daft now.

Was you using your brain when you choose to use possible arrival of Allardyce and Barton as reason to keep Wenger?

Was you using your brain when you siad Galls wasn't good enough when it is clear to see he has been the most solid player in our defence this calendar year if not longer?

Was you using your brain telling me to forget the past but using it yourself to show the perceived progress you bring to the table in the shape of two semi-finals where we got well and truly turned over on each occasion due to lacklustre performances?

I tell you what Swale, if using my brain brings me the insightful and intelligent charateristics you think you possess then you can gladly find me in the nuthouse dribbling into my soup while I make paper aeroplanes!

You have been very eager to tell people to grow up but I will tell you this for free. The most immature and misinformed comments have come from you, regardless of what side of the arguement people are on.

yeah we better sack Wenger then because teams who change their manager every 5 minutes are excellent! I just wish we were as good as Newcastle or the Spuds

well it clearly isnt childish is it, people are suggesting we should just sack Wenger, in my opinion that will do absolutely no good at all! not even sure why im arguing about it as it clearly wont happen, and the arsenal board are probably in a better position to make the decision that you!

people just cant wait to come on here after a defeat and start slagging off everything about the club, any positivity suggested and you are seen as an idiot!

Swale you are the one telling people to grow up and calling them an idiot simply because they have a different view on things to you!

If you bothered to read and absorb what people are saying you would understand that their gripes are not just about last night but rather the fact that the last five years have been unsuccesful in both terms of trophies and team development.

You really are coming across like a little boy throwing a tantrum. You keep coming out with such childish comments.

haha im like a boy throwing a tantrum, im one of the 2% of people on here showing any positivity about the current team, the manager and the future! Im not the one throwing a wobbler and asking for the team to be axed! you do realise that was a champions league semi last night, thats the top four clubs in europe!! we must be so crap to get that far!

we lost to a team closing in on a quadruple and back to back champions league wins, its not the end of the world and not too much needs adjusting

The way you express yourself then is why you appear childish as is the basis of your arguement if you think reaching the semi of the CL means we are one of the best four sides in Europe.

Stop being so fucking condescending too! I know how many teams make a semi final you silly prick!

You really are deluded if you think we are one of the top 4 clubs in Europe. We are only just one of the top 4 in the UK. As someone else pointed out we had probably the easiest route to the semis of anyone and only just scraped through against the likes of Roma and Villareal, both currently sixth in their leagues. Manure were the first real test and we failed it big style.

oooooh percy has got slightly too annoyed! why would you let yourself become so wound up sitting at a computer?

the champions league involves teams in europe yes? we were involved in this....yes? we were in the last four in the competition....yes? then we were in the top four teams in the competition this year! as much as it clearly pains you!
