Then in typical "Shutdown" mode....

Arsenal score two goals to WIN the game!!!
i''d love eddie to come off the bench and get em both
Now that would be too good lol...maybe a half fit Gallas comes on in stoppage time and whacks a 45 yarded in off Taylor( yeah i know he has gone)

i had a squeak of a ticket but only flights that got there b4 kick off were hundreds
I booked today and our flights (into Valencia but back out of Girona) + match ticket + hotel came out at £239. That's still £40 less than I'd been planning on paying for official day trip. Have to pay for our own transfers still but there are still reasonably priced flights around if you are prepared to travel at this end and in Spain....

More importantly though I've now revised my view that Barcelona and Birmingham games have same importance. To win the CL we'll need to beat Messi etc over two legs....and (probably) Inter Milan over two legs.....and our new bogey team (probably) Man Utd......

To win the Premier League we just need to avoid fucking up in games that we will be favourites to win...... So although Barca is a bit of glam.... Birmingham probably edges it in terms of importance!!

According AFC website Bendtner should be fine, this is from the AFC website:

Nicklas Bendtner is expected to be fit to face Birmingham City on Saturday.

The Danish striker was taken off during last weekend's win over West Ham after receiving a kick to his ankle. But that was just a precautionary measure and Bendtner should line up against the side he spent the 2006/07 season on loan with.

"He should be OK," revealed Arsène Wenger at his pre-match press conference.

"He is not back in training yet because he has an ankle problem, but he will have a late test tomorrow morning and should be available. I have not picked the team yet, but I expect him to be available.

"The team news for the weekend is that of course we lost Thomas Vermaelen because he is suspended and everybody else should be available who played last week."

Meanwhile William Gallas could return to the Club as early as Friday after a persistent calf injury. However the centre back will not be considered for the trip to Birmingham and has also been ruled out of the Champions League Quarter-Final first leg against Barcelona on Wednesday.

"He is back today from his rehabilitation and is back in full training I believe tomorrow, Saturday or Sunday," explained Wenger.

My flight ticket with bmibaby is as expensive as your whole package
+ hotel + ticket...I hope we will the CL this time

I don't think Inter Milan is that good, Chelsea lost to them becos Ancelotti is SHIT, an over-rated manager really! Jose is a good manager, but with those shit players, I still think that we can beat them. Anyway let's worry about the Birmingham game first!! Come on you gunners :barscarf: :barscarf:

Just checked out BC forum to see what the locals are saying in the build up to the game and it made pretty twisted reading.
I've said stuff about Adebarndoor(most of it offensive) but the w***er deserved it, but Eddie didn't deserve taylor's cowardly tackle, yet BC fans on their forum are laughing and joking about it.

My favourite being "Eduardo makes a return to St Andrews....probably looking for his shin".

I hope we beat them in the 94th min by one goal from a soft as sh**e penalty, with Eddie chipping the goalkeeper cheekily. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: [/b]

Just seen the ref for the game is Howard Webb(apologies if it's been mentioned already), just hope he doesn't give away anymore questionable penalties unless it's for us and not against.

I thought you said I was a bit harsh to AL
But credits to AL, he saved us 3 points against West Ham, though he is still very shaky from time to time...I still think that if we win or draw with Barca without conceding a goal at home, we will still have a chance. Hope that the speed of Arshavin or Walcott in counter-attack will finish Barca!!!

Re:trip
Yes should done it. Now I have to stay in Barcelona for 3 nights as BMIbaby only flies on Monday and then Thursday...

Although he did turn a blind eye to Cesc's handball against Liverpool. But then that was after playing 8 minutes of non existent injury time. And it wasnt a freekick. And Gerrard was diving all over the place. Hmmm...fuck :banghead:
