I know we debated about Vermaelen's size(no penis jokes pls) before we saw him but Koscielny looks physically weak for a defender.

Pre-Season + new player adapting to squad = calm down.
I don't see how that affects his ability to control a football. Linking play, getting on the end of moves? Yes. Controlling a football? Not for me. I'll stay concerned until he proves me wrong, so fingers crossed.

I don't know about weak but seeing him in the new homekit on Pravda.com it does look like a really strong breeze could put him off a bit. Hopefully they will be bulking him from now and by August or Septmeber he'll be ablle to stand straight when the wind gusts..

I'm not sure it will unmake him as a player but do worry abiout him doing battle with the more physical center-forwards in the Premiership for sure right now.

Don't worry they'll be on the creatine diet by November :box:

Walnut looked as shit as ever in this game and if he's unable to look half decent against a team not even good enough to play in the Blue Square league then we're in trouble.

Yes, for sure!
Sturm Graz is one of the worlds biggest clubs (2 league titles, 4 cup titles :bowing21: ) and we beat them 3-0! :)

must say i was again very impressed with frimpong. this is the second straight game he has broken up nearly everything in the midfield, covered for the backs, and not lost the ball - he even passes forward unlike denilson. he is miles better than eastmond, and if he continues to play like this i see no reason he cannot back up song. unlike most we slot in there, he has a true defensive mentality. quality young player.

nasri was excellent - really thrives in that cesc role, more-so than out side. nordveidt was also good and JET was very good (though he needs to not dribble so much, will not work at the top level).

djourou looks very slow. kos didnt have a top game but looked better than he. walcott and traore battled for worst player. i think traore won.
