My confidence levels have dipped a bit......

I don't know whether I thought that the other 3 sides left in the competiition would just roll over at the thought of the mighty gooners strolling on to their first trophy in several thousand years.....but the 2nd half of last nights match shocked me a bit. They were both desparate to get through to the final. My god, surely they don't believe they could win it!

Which then made me think about Ipswich.... Ok, not a good side, on not a good run - although they don't lose 0-7 every week so that result v Chelsea should probably be dismissed from our thinking. They did after all beat West Brom in the last round didn't they, and they in turn beat us.....

Ipswich will be fighting for their lives tonight - it isn't the 3rd round like last weekend, it's the semi final and a chance of a day out at Wembley, so maybe we shouldn't take a comfortable win for granted. Maybe a draw wouldn't be such a bad result? Apologies though if this contradicts any of my previous posts..... !

Why is it not possible to have this convo on the boozing thread rather than ruining this one for people who want to talk about the game.

I am leaving in a bit. No idea how to get to Ipswich or where to park once I get there !

Just gonna put the postcode in the sat nav and go!

I would take a 1-0 win right now.
