BARCA HOME GAME THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Indeed. Barca's support home & away is pretty pitiful. Sure, they take fairly decent numbers but they're so quiet...
they were sitting down @ the grove last year

when you watch la liga on tv, you dont hear much noise but as soon as any team score, it sounds like a riot is going off, then its dead again

I attended Athletic Club v Zaragoza at the San Mames maybe 2/3 seasons ago, the home crowd were very noisy. I don't think there was a single away fan in the ground though.

Anyone else noticed the very lazy punditry in the lead-up to this game? Yes, we have a crazed idealist as our manager who thinks denilson is the next Xavi so clearly the "style" comparison is worth some mileage but really...

Not a single mention of how we could use theo to get behind barca or how our football in recent months has become much more pacey and "to-the-point" and how this could damage barca if they play the same high line that they raped us with in the first leg last year. I hate lazy punditry, mainly because it infuriates me to think these useless sheep actually get paid for their opinion. I want to get paid for my opinion. 8)

Oh and another thing, why is there never any mention of the fact that 99% of our starting 11 were injured for the trip to the Nou Camp last year? I dont mind them bringing the game up but could you imagine the excuses that would be made for taggart's men if they had the same situation?

Its because they don’t like us mate, and I love it.

Would love to steal millwall’s chant and make it our own. I really think we are the club to hate these days.

How about "We got Cesc Fabregas.....you can have Denilson"
or " You're broke and you know you are"

You must've missed this ?

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sp ... elona.html

On a side note. I think we will win. I can see that a lot of people seem to think we won't. I always beleive we will win every game we play. I guess it's like faith. They say football is like a religion and since I have been going to games I always go to a game beleiving we can win. I guess you have to beleive really. Yes you can do all the analysis etc Mess, Xavi and all that shit, but I love Arsenal and beleive we will win every game.

Come on Arsenal !!!!!!!!!!! :barscarf: :barscarf:

Risky in my opinion. Last thing we want is him getting injured for the league run-in, not to mention the CC Final.

Nasri will be on the bench. Unless the injury wasn't as bad and he's been fit for about a week. I can't see Wenger risking him after last year against them when Gallas and Arshavin both got worse. Hva ehim on the bench, maybe bring him on 65th minute. Play him against Orient.

Looking forward to this.
