Have to be honest, the thoughts of a mental as fuck state like Iran (ruled by an extremist version of Islam that scares even most Muslims to death) getting their hands on nukes absolutely shits me up. The “MAD” deterrent of the geopolitical cold war days simply does not work when applied to religion-obsessed fuckers that wholeheartedly believe killing their entire population is justified if they can also kill some Jews and some Americans in the process. I believe the psycho-political term for them is “fucked in the head”.

Remember hearing a radio show a few years ago which had an 'expert' on this and other matters regarding the forecasting of the end of the world and he claimed back then (more than a decade ago) that the next world war would happen in 2012 and be centered around a dispute between Israel / Iran which then draws others into the conflict. Thought he was a nutter and that it might be all bollocks but now am starting to feel just a teeny bit worried.

Well Israeli forces have been conducting specialist drills over the past few months.
I would never give away national secrets (and not that I am especially privy to any!) but the following stuff has all been reported in the national Israeli press:

Tank border drill to counter-attack land invasion.
Co-ordinated artillery and infantry support drill.
Fighter jet attack raids over South Lebanon including actual flypast.
Golan Heights tank counter attack.
Israeli-USA-UK joint naval drill simulating attacking coast of a foreign country (oh you didn't read about that whilst you were focusing on the X Factor?)
Altitude bombing drill in mountainous territory in Romania.
Home Front air raid siren and bomb shelter response.
"Leak" of attack plans on Iran (denied to be real plans by Israeli military but I reckon a planned leak hinting at some of what Israel has up it's sleeve).

Add in three American battle groups in the gulf and Mahmoud's your uncle....

The religious blogs have been in overdrive with tales of ancient prophecies; what is unnerving about all of them is that they feature a country called Paras which is Persia and the word Hormuz crops up too.
There is also a ton of stuff about a war in Syria being linked to "The End of Days"/"Messianic Times".

But the Jewish rule for negative prophecy, is that it is a warning of what can happen if things get bad rather than a definite indication of what will happen.
