THAT'S IT

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Fool……sorry, plastic fool
Haha, what an idiot!! Because I'm moving to a silver membership due to the fact that I think paying £1700 on a season ticket when I might as well get a video of any of the past 6 seasons, seeing as they basically are all the same: glimmer of hope, some very memorable wins, finish line in sight, crap ourselves, loads of injuries, and have a month of relegation form, end in top 4 trophyless, followed by a summer of he will buy (he never does), and our top stars being poached by Barca, this all means that I'll support sp*rs and that I'm a plastic fool??? No you're an absolutely blind sighted fool, I'm not paying that money because I cannot stand to part with my hard earned cash when what we need is STARING US STRAIGHT IN THE FACE and our Manager is so f*cking stubborn that he won't just admit this project isn't going to work and needs to buy. I'll still go the arsenal pal, as I have done for my whole life, but as a bond holder I can keep my ST on hold, and as a silver member I can go to any home game that I wish, so I'll pick and choose thanks. At a guess you're not a ST holder anyway so I don't know why I have to justify on here to 'plastics' like you why I'm packing in the ticket, as I only started using this forum to get a spare away if I never had enough credits but started this thread just to see how many others are the same and doing this (and believe me the people I sit with, there is a LOT!!!). Also I was going in the days of Hillier, McGoldrick, Jensen etc but then the players weren't film stars you couldn't be near, they were local lads, fans like you, tried their nuts off, it cost a shit load less to go and we used to buy players without being told were gonna win the lot and win nothing!!!
GOOD FUCKING POST JONNY!!!!!!!!!
Yes - that was a good fucking post Jonny. Especially the bit I've highlighted which kind of sums up why more people are turning on this current shower than ever did before.

They want the massive wages and the flash lifestyle (at our expense) so they have to accept that when they don't deliver, they are gonna get abuse chucked at them!

I agree with you on this. If the club doesnt spend money on players we are finished.
We got lucky this year that Chelsea had a blip and Spurs were busy with the Champ League.
Without change we are done for next season.

none of those players were local (just checked Irish international MsGoldrick actually was local - but he was dreadful, one of the worst I've ever seen)
when we signed Nicholas we were gonna win the lot
we were also gonna sign Barnes and Cottee I remember

bloody hell a lot on here are far worse rosetinters than me
I deceive myself about the future, they deceive themselves about the past
(at least there's a small chance I'll be right!)

Where you live, if we carry on failing to invest in the squad as we are.

Let's be honest. In a piss poor Premier League, we're still not capitalising. When Chelsea and City get it together next season, god help us.

conversely when the financial doping rules kick in god help them...
what happens to ManUre if US retail doesnt recover but the Glazers cant get the profit they want for the 'franchise'. Giggs and Scholes have not been replaced. VDS will be another hole - who knows if Rio will ever be the same post back injury. Vidic is my player of the year by a country mile, he carries them. His missus hates Manchester.

I'm (obviously) a glass half full person
but agree with the consensus on diaby, denilson + bendtner
that said none of those are 1st teamers and I believe that several of Ramsay, Lansbury, Frimpong, Aneke, Afobe, JET and Vela can be improvements on them
(+squillaci<bartley/miquel) although I pray to be proven wrong on doubting Toto

a lot of Gooners lack perspective, I agree the league has been poor
but we have still improved, our first XI is excellent but injury prone
are backups aren't good enough, Wenger is great an implanting an overall system but isnt tactically cute, never has been.

we got the worst possible draws in the cup (Barca was partly our fault)
if Bendtner scores we could beat the best team in the world
VDS is MOTM
being close makes it more frustrating not less - small details could have made the difference

in the league we have been on the wrongside of some decisions
EVERY ManUre away win has involved a huge referee get out of jail free card (GNev miracle non2nd yellow v Stoke, GNev miracle non pen/red v WBA, Rafael miracle non pen at 2-0 down v Blackpool, Rooney blatant off the ball assault v Wigan)
even Scholes clear 2nd yellow v us would have cost him a 2 match ban

and yet we can still win it

lets leave off the sackcloth and ashes just yet
ManUre can easy drop points away to anyone and we can go on a run

I think Wilshere is gonna go on a Ljungbergesque scoring streak

almost all of it in one way or nother, but too "tired  " to be more specific, although I can see your rationale, I in no way agree.

Stop reading there.

The rest is a waste of time. The lie above is spouted regularly by the Turnip Knows crew.

You haven't the first clue about what those rules entail do you? Go ahead google it and see what you find.

If you think Manchester United won't be one of the top clubs in England for years to come your off your head.

I suppose that's what it would take for us to compete though, United to go into administration.

I 100% knew that would be your response

all of it....?

are you suggesting the refs decisions were right in those 4 away games v manUre?!?
because thats insanity

are you suggesting ramsay and lansbury are not better than denilson and diaby? because that would be tragedy

are you suggesting manure have replacements for giggs and scholes? who

are you suggesting we didnt get hard draws before being knocked out of CL +FA cup?

are you suggesting chelski + citehs spending models fall within uefa financial parameters? they don't

you obviously dont disagree with everything,
your post is wrong

Are you suggesting and I think you are, that United will some how receive punishment for financial doping.

Clearly that is a lot of tosh.

No offence.
