For me, Maradona is the undisputed best. The only 3 that come close are : Pele, Messi, Henry.

How long was maradona on the magic talcum powder before getting caught ? Does that not question his acheivements for you cos it certainly does for me. Personally I would put pele ahead of the argie but messi is on course to be at that level and soon 8)

Btw henry was never on Bergkamps class so how you can rate him as one of the world's best ever is beyond me :?

Disagree.

Bergkamp was outstanding, but Henry was out of this world. Just look at the numbers... 226 goals and 92 assists in 369 games (according to wiki) - unbelievable.

If I could pick one of them to play in this current team, it would be Henry every time.

Messi would take his cock out and piss all over Stoke to be fair. They might have a lot of cloggers, but Messi is almost impossible to catch, nevermind kick! "Slight" players like Zola have excelled in the PL, and Messi would obviously manage it as well- he is good enough to be able to take the piss in any league in the world, our one included

Barca are a bunch of cheating wankers though, hope United smack them to fuck in the final

It's hard to judge who is better between Bergkamp and Henry because they are different types of players...
Henry's game was more based around his athleticism and Bergkamps was more based around his technique and footballing brain. I suppose it would depend on what turns you on more, a player gliding past players at will using great controlled pace or a sublime passer and technician. One thing is for sure if you combined the two of them you would have the perfect attacker...

As for Messi he is superb, whilst i don't think he is quite as talented as Maradonna was, i think any manager would prefer him to Maradonna as he is far more level headed and although he is an amazing individual talent he is also a big part of the team ethic...i don't think Pele was in the same league as either of them...

As for tonights game... i suppose we shouldn't have expected anything else really, Mourinho sending his team out to stop Barca playing and ruffle their feathers and the usual suspects on both sides throwing themselves around at the slightest touch.....
But over and above the usual play acting and histrionics the thing that i found most distasteful in the game was the streak of nastiness that the Madrid players were adding to the pot, it wasn't just professionalism, there was some serious bad intentions in a lot of what they did, no doubt stirred up by Mourinho.. It was totally out of order and they got what they deserved in the end...At least now we can see a decent game of football in the final with Barca v Utd and we can be sure Utd won't be taking home another European trophy this year....

Cant agree - that portugese *word censored* has been complaining about uefa conspiracy and bullshit like that and came out with a line saying that they should just let his team play :coffeespit: :coffeespit: :coffeespit:
Real madrid never wanted to come out and play last night nor did they want to play in the league game 2 weeks ago and their only aim last night was to stop barca playing  Fact is that madrid are one of the most renowned clubs in world football and have always played with style and grace but this *word censored* has dragged them into the gutter with anti-football tactics every time they face decent opposition. I understand, and partially agree, that substance should come before style but if you are employing such tactics dont come out bleating about your team not being allowed to play cos it was never on your agenda in the first place

To be honest, I'm going to give the whole thing a wide berth. £176 for a ticket means that the two sets of Tourists FC will produce an even shittier atmosphere than usual and we'll have to listen to whichever ITV two-bob commentator there is on the night pulling one off whenever Sir Rednose or the Argie Drugs Cheat come into view

Two sets of utter wankers playing at a venue fit for utter wankers.

I could never bring myself to cheer for United, but nor do I relish the prospect of cheering for the imaginary card waving cheats and a team that contains Daniel Alves

Hope someone churns up that shitty pitch and makes a dire, kicking fest like the WC Final

Have to agree with augie...

Although Barcelona are bunch of babies who seem able to turn the ref at the drop of a hat and roll over as if they've been shot, Real went out with the intention of taking things as far as they could, and a bit further if the ref wasn't watching.

Also reported by Graham Hunter who was at the game, that Alves was subjected to consistent monkey chants, and the amount of missiles raining down on the Barcelona players after they scored was also commented on.

Basically, both these clubs are so far up their own holes, that I doubt they can find their way back to the real world.

Without doubt Barcelona are the best footballing team in the world maybe ever so only a mug would go toe to toe with them. It showed last season when we tried that away from home and quite frankly they gave up at 4-1 it could have been 8.... There is more than one way to skin a cat and I enjoy seeing tight games as much as i do with Barca style. As i said i dont think Mourinho had a chaoice last night going toe to toe with Tyson at his best or Barca now only means you'll get battered.

I can imagine Brady being spoonfed the bullshit from Wenger which says you have to play pretty football and any other way is anti-football, this just isnt true defensive football has a big part and a right in modern day football

As I said already flash I do agree that good defensive play is a major plus in any team but -

1. Madrid do not have a good defence and play accordingly

and

2. There is a huge difference between good defnsive play and going out to kick anything that moves. Pepe is an utter thug and has shown it on so many occasions (anyone remember the incident last season where he went about kicking the bejesus out of an opposition forward lying on the floor ? ) and is symbolic of this madrid team and if you want further proof just look at xabi alonso who moaninho has converted from a gifted midfield general into a kicker and slogger :(

Where as the six Barcelona constantly harrassing the referee - the first instance of which was timed at less than four minutes (clearly Mourinho's fault) - were a fantastic advert for world football.
