Membership in a clique is typically exclusive, and qualifications for membership may be social or essential to the nature of the clique. The word clique may be used pejoratively.

A normative clique or reference group is often the primary source of social interaction for the members of the clique, which can affect the values and beliefs of an individual. The comparative clique or reference group is a standard of comparison in which a clique can exist in the workplace, in a community, in the classroom, in a business, or any other area of social interaction. Cliques tend to form within the boundaries of a larger group where opportunities to interact are great.[2] Cliques are often associated with children and teenagers in a classroom setting. Schools are a prime place where peer networks exist and can easily be accentuated through the differentiation of various cliques, and through the processes of inclusion and exclusion that characterize a clique.[3]

Many parents see cliques as ostracism; however, cliques are neither good nor bad. Cliques are formed by people grouping together based on things they have in common whether they be the "jocks," "preppy girls," or "nerds." The negative association of cliques in school settings occurs when bullying is found, but in many cases, bullying is not at all present. In reality, high school cliques are no different than cliques in the "real world." Once high school has ended, adults seem to group together with other people they share common interests with, and they do not hang with people they either do not like or cannot relate with. [4]

In social network theory, as well as in graph theory, a clique is a subset of individuals in which every person is connected to every other person. Graphically, it is a subset of points (or nodes) in which every possible pair of points is directly connected by a line, and which is not part of any other clique.[5]

This thread is proof that a clique exists. When we used to have polls to see if Marty should stay or go, they'd get locked straight away. But this thread has stayed open with mods contributing because the clique is in danger of crumbling.
Firstly, you are in the clique, ya fucking idiot Jayson!

Secondly, the OCDMarty threads were locked because there were about 10 of them!! :banghead:

Any repeats of this one will get locked too.

Saunders... you helped START the clique ya Fifth Columnist (put it away Jayson - it's not a euphemism).

Well, I feel the 'Chelsea's new stadium is bad news for Arsenal' thread or whatever it was called was a particular low in the life of this forum.

When I asked a few questions such as 'What new stadium? Right now it is an architect's wet dream' and challenged the statement that ticket prices would be cheaper than at AFC, I was just given a load of abuse, dressed up as 'humourous' wordplay.

I have a theory. :hmmthink:

You would be generally pro-club/Weger Cook therefore you go against everything that Baba stands for. SWL has said previously that he debated a point about Walnut without being abused but if you look at SWLs posts they are anti-Wenger therefore agreeing with Baba.

So my theory is that if you are generally anti-Wenger you will get an easy ride with Baba but God help you if you are pro-Wenger. 8)

Now, I will sit back and prepare to have my sexuality and mental capacity challanged.

Wow. Almost TEN pages dedicated to someone you apparently all ignore. Wonderful how easy it is to anger Arsene's foot soldiers...

I think anyone with extremely negative views on Arsene and the current set up should be banned. Forever. And exiled to Walthamstow.
