which striker (left back and backup goalie) should we buy?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Vastly experienced, reasonable age, last year of his contract, cheap, phenomenal scoring record, banged them in for whomever he played for, mates with Vermaelen, scorer of the first goal at the Grove.

Forgot about him. If we sign one, let it be him

Huntelaar for me.... First Dutchman to be top goal scorer in the Bundesliga last season with 29 in 34 games

Forgot about Huntelaar. Good shout, get Vermaelen to tap him up during the Schalke game.

Supposedly he hates Van Herpes too, which is an added plus. Not that I'm petty or bitter or anything.

is Demba Ba still available on a £7M buyout?
No, to the best of my knowledge, which is not a lot to be fair :? , I believe that clause expired.

Nor is Ba, although a quality player, the banner signing that would lure in potential big bucks sponsors in my humble opinion. There really is only one option......

Falcao :barscarf:
I think Pardew said that the clause reactivates in January.

EDIT: it's active anyway apparently! Pardew was interviewed on Thursday 20th September and said "There is that clause in his contract and it makes us vulnerable. It's still open in the next window."

£7m is nothing, if we spent £5m on fecking Park we can punt on this fella

If Ba is going Africa in January then there is no pint at all in buying him, even if its on the cheap.

Huntelar would be my choice too. Llorente seems too much like Giroud

Newbie was the 'edit' an addition not a replacement
I just noticed I registered a matter of days before you in 2007

Since then surely you've learnt the last thing required to insult people online is bottle...

I thought newbie was borderline affectionate banter

What do you think of the Zaha/Theo theory? I think he is quite a good player. Ivory Coast born but has chosen England.

I think the Zaha link was floated by us to pressurise Feo into signing

I think since he's from the coast of ivory & his name's basically an amalgamation of Wilma & Fred we could bring back Kolo's Flintstones song, albeit hopefully with less camp lyrics.

Other than that it's probably just lazy tabloid bollocks.

Sorry, my misreading of the intent. Try using this ( ) for possible banter/insult.
