Re: The weekends other games
Ugh, another United win at the hands of controversial referee decisions. Who's surprised anymore? Unbelievable call on Torres. Mata might have popped in a second from that location, but instead United were once again handed a massive chance (to their credit they took) to win the game.
Meanwhile fucking RVP continues to be in form and all the plastic Manc c**ts are loving life. United victories just make me sick.
And that brings us to next week's league fixture... :S
Merseyside derby was an entertaining affair, love Moyes' teams.

Re: The weekends other games
Although replays have subsequently shown there was a little contact (although not enough in my opinion to fell Torres), I could understand the ref seeing it as a dive because from his angle it looked like there wasn't any and Torres' theatrical fall a couple of steps later only made it look more dubious to the official.
Re: The weekends other games
Exactly right. I'm sick and tired of these diving tossers. Gervinho was a total fucking embarrassment doing it against Schalke too. Torres made an effort to get his opponent sent off, knowing that the Chavs were already down to 10 men and trying to level it up, so I've got no sympathy whatsoever. Ivanovic was a straight red too and the dirty bastard has got away with murder this past couple of years.I Hate Hleb wrote:Although replays have subsequently shown there was a little contact (although not enough in my opinion to fell Torres), I could understand the ref seeing it as a dive because from his angle it looked like there wasn't any and Torres' theatrical fall a couple of steps later only made it look more dubious to the official.
The only gripe the Chavs can have is for the winning goal and that's the linesman's fault - fuck me Hernandez was behind the keeper when the ball was played in.
What we all know is that against no other team in world football - with the possible exception of Barcelona - would 2 Chav players get sent off in a home game

Re: The weekends other games
I agree. Torres hasn't helped himself by diving around for the last couple of years at every opportunity. The issue for me isn't necessarily that the ref made the decision to send him off, it's that it's yet again United are the ones benefiting from decisions in big games.
As SteveO alludes to Ivanovic goes round kicking and elbowing every week and has done for his entire PL career, but gets away with being one of the dirtiest players around unless it's against United. Likewise with Torres' diving, would he have been given a second yellow for diving at home to Wigan at 2-2? Not for a contentious decision like that.
Clattenburg is a twat as well, last time he made a few spineless and shocking decisions in games he whinged about the reactions and threatened to take time off reffing.
The two images that sum up the performance of modern referees for me are Rooney at Highbury in 2006 on a yellow giving Poll an almighty torrent of foul-mouth abuse on camera, and Riley pathetically speaking to Ashley Cole's back after he tried to snap Hutton in two at Shite Hart Lane. Although some people go overboard judgement calls are understandable and mistakes are to be predicted no matter how frustrating, refs with no backbone or consistency is what riles people most.

I've just seen Bale's goal against Saints on the box for the first time. For a moment I was thinking 'well done Gareth, no halfwitted celebration in front of your old team'.......then the little tosser reverts to type and does that pathetic heart-shaped hand sign. Honestly, does he realise what an utter *word censored* he looks when he does that. Even more irritating than that pikey Oirish twat Keane doing that fucking cartwheel

Ah, according to primatologist Diane Fossey,Bale was simply communicating to the rest of his knuckle dragging hordes/troupe with that gestureSteveO 35 wrote:I've just seen Bale's goal against Saints on the box for the first time. Gerrard - Stoke play like Everton
Wonder how Pulis will react to that. Quite amusing seeing as the stats showed Liverpool completed fewer passes and played proportionately more long balls.

If he comes back in for Forehead and starts scoring then he can celebrate by wearing an SS uniform and pissing all over Herbert Chapman's bust as far as I'm concerned.armchair supporter wrote:What, this pathetic heart shaped hand sign......?SteveO 35 wrote:I've just seen Bale's goal against Saints on the box for the first time. Yes that pathetic heart shaped sign - he looks as big a *word censored* as Bale doing it (although slightly less ugly). Honestly, its the sort of celebration I'd expect a 7 year old girl to do to her My Little Pony after brushing its hair. Other than supporters singing 'same old Arsenal, always cheating' and that dickish phase of the PA announcer calling out the player's first names at 200 decibels when announcing the line-up, its the most juvenile fucking thing I've seen a supposed adult do at a football matcharmchair supporter wrote:What, this pathetic heart shaped hand sign......?SteveO 35 wrote:I've just seen Bale's goal against Saints on the box for the first time.
