In respect of stadium naming rights, in the branding industry it is worth explaining that it is always the first deal that is the most important and the longer the name continues the less value there is in a renaming deal with another sponsor.
Won't try and bore with examples around the world,especially the States where they have tried changing a few but if we were to be now called the Betfair Stadium, to many it would take years to unwind being known now as the Emirates, hence the amount to apply to this element can never be huge now.
On a side note, amusing to see all the in the know people bleating on about the shirt deal being what was to be announced.
This was a curve ball thrown out by Mark Goonella etc from Arsenal 24hrs in advance to try and make some of the web bloggers and Twitter kings look silly when the real deal was announces- and it worked
