Bradford match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Safe journey up and back to all Gooners who made the trip :barscarf: hope you enjoy the game and that we win to make your valiant efforts worthwhile.

ps I wonder if any of the team actually told him that they want to play - not be rested ?

Surprised at the strength of the team! Have to say I'm fucking glad we're going to actually try and win the thing, no point pretending we're too big to bother with this competition now when we have a great shot of winning it.

Although starting Jack and Santi worry me a bit, Cazorla has played more or less every minute so far this season and obviously Wilshere's injury still plays on everyone's mind. Saying that there's not really any more chance of them getting injured here than any other game (sorry for the jinx guys) and we're not playing again for 6 days. Good decision to rest Arteta though. It's difficult because our central midfield is our strongest suit so if we rested all 3 then even a full side otherwise wouldn't look that strong.

Scrap that actually - a side with Gervinho starting up front can't be hailed as strong by any sane man.

Can Cazorla cut it on a chilly December night in Bradford?

Team selection of a man who knows the tide is turning against him and that he cannot afford to fail tonight.

If they manage to fuck this up tonight then it really should be sackings all round.

Good point and this from a man that told us that this competition doesn't matter and that transfer targets don't care if you win it or not. Funny how when the pressure is on...

I'm truly embarrassed at the strength of that team - are we honestly saying we cannot beat a team 3 divisions lower than us without wilshire, cazorla, sagna and the 2 centre backs ?  How does this selection fit in with the statements proclaiming this to be a squad capable of challenging for top honours when he doesnt think he can beat bradford without his stars ? I am absolutely gobsmacked

Come back in 85 minutes, we might not beat Bradford with them!
