MAN CITY THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I do? apologies if that's how it seems, 'tis not deliberate. I read something in your comments that I see now clearly wasn't meant.

What Utter Bollocks Chips, they are simply whingeing as they are embarrassed that they cant sell out their section but I promise you they would not have sold it if the price was 42 quid !
Its a late game on a Sunday and City aren't the best traveling fans Now and have and never been.

As previously stated their own club didn't mind charging us 56 quid for a Sunday game at their shit hole
however our fans lapped it up packed it out and out-sung the Nouveau riche wankers and went ballistic when we scored.

They then whined that we over celebrated ,FFS

Welcome to the Big Time City ,pay the price or fuck off back to Div 2 !

Yes..on one side. We see the same, but I'm sure it will change one of these days. Just keep on with the movement towards lower ticket prices!

If a fully paid trip is still available I know someone, only a couple of hours away, who would love to nip down to the seaside to watch Barca.

Exactly. Every City fan can say that they've been going since the year dot but when it comes to it the club is still small-time. They weren't selling out their new stadium until the money came along.

What also pisses me off is that WEalcott now looks like he is going to sign a new deal /contract with The Arsenal for £25 mill for 4 - 5 years. The thing is when asked in recent interviews he has totally bottled it - In his usual limp fucking wristed fay way 'Oh I'm just going to concentrate on my game and keep playing football and let my people sort all this'

A) If you are so concentrated and focused on your football ya fucking gimp why Oh! Why!?: are you so inconsistent - you score a brace of goals every 4 or 5 games - which then gets many people/fans hoping and thinking maybe he's finally turned that corner we've been waiting for him to these past 5 years!!!

B) I'd have more respect for him if he would 'Man Up' in one of those interviews and say ' I think I am worth more money than I am getting paid at present and so until that is sorted or another club comes in for me willing to pay me £5mill a season I'll play my football as best I can' ....Yes, I know I'm dreaming to ever think ANY (Even ONE!) of todays hundreds of overpaid prima-donna's Prem Players have the guts, balls to 'Man Up' and put their over coiffed barnets above the parapet and admit they're a bunch of money grabbing *word censored*!!??...I'd at least then have a bit of resepct for their honesty...instead of all this hiding behind agents and nice speak for the camera's.

I know it is NOT just walnutt, but - It makes me wanna punch them all in the fucking throat.

Edit: Many of them (Players) may be very gifted individuals with a 'football'....But they are a) Doing what most of us would do for next to nothing and b) they are destroying the game we all 'Love' - because of their incessant greed - Sky TV, Club Owners, Agents, Managers, Players.....ALL "GUILTY".

Much as I agree with fans trying to do something about ticket prices (and not just ours!!) it is kind of embarrassing for City that they couldn't find 3000 fans who WERE willing to pay that price.... We would have. So would United, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea..... You'd think that they would have thousands only too willing to step in when the diehards don't go!

Arsenal's big mistake though was to include City as Category A. They are obviously still aren't seen as that big a big draw.

On the point of who loses out re-the 900 unsold tickets, wouldn't that be City? When they agreed to take their allocation would it really have been on a sale or return basis? Or maybe they held back a block of 900 to make it easier for Arsenal to sell them?

I've been offered a ticket from several season ticket holders for this one. It is now the norm for any matches on TV believe me. Why the fuck anyone renews when they can't be arsed is beyond me.

Good fucking job too. I hope there are loads of seats spare. Make a rich man who is slowly killing my club even richer by giving him £62 or watching us down the pub with a load of Gooners shouting abuse at RvP for the previous two hours watching the ManUre v Mickeys game. Tough decision
