STOKE CITY THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No excuse for blasting that one straight at the keeper from 8 yards out whether he's 18 years old or 38 years old. Poor finish - no composure

You're a bit early pal.

WE, WE, WE are the cause of them feeling insecure and unresponsive.

We need the proper German (Poldi) on from the start of the second half.

That's the beer talking,,,, right?
No. I think he's been generally disappointing over the season. Not as much as Ramsey but clearly could and should be doing better.

VERY MUCH LIKE RAMSEY or NOT AS MUCH AS RAMSEY ????

Who expects too much from Ox? Just that he could and should be doing better. Can't be that difficult to understand. He shouldn't be a world-beater...or producing non-stop man of the match performances - but who said he should be? Just doing better.

Some nonsense on this forum :D

Wenger held him back a lot at first and the fans called for Wenger to play him.

You can't win.
You can give him some games and depending on how well he does you can give him more or less time on the pitch. Imo he wasn't too good in most games so he shouldn't start too many games but I guess Wenger wants him to build confidence and gain experience (and that should usually work but it will also cost the team some points up to the point were the Ox is ready).

I agree but to be fair even Messi misses great opportunities from time to time - every player does! Doesn't matter though as long as you put them right from time to time. Still has a lot of work to do the Ox and as I said shouldn't start games for a club like Arsenal at the moment but that's not his fault.

We're passing the ball way too slowly and lack any real invention or incisiveness; it's basically allowing Stoke to sit back with 10 men behind the ball and strangle the life out of us. :?

Are we lacking petrol? is the handbrake on? - tell me Arsene, which bullshit metaphor describes us this time? :rubchin:

well, we can thank the England set up for putting him in after a couple of games, same as walcott. who after a few call ups wanted $75k a week as an "england regular".

Very much like Ramsey - as there is a similarity in their poor performances.

But...

chamberlain not as disappointing as Ramsey - to rank them. Still disappointing (like) Ramsey but (not as much) as Ramsey.

No need for the capitals or the stupidity surely mate?

I think he is having a good game and even the best strikers in the world don't take all their chances.
