WIGAN HOME

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I have no confidence that we will get the result we need. When the pressure is on (and it is now, there is no room for error now Spurs beat Stoke) we crumble.

Winning the Cup will boost them. They know they can't relax and Saturday will have encouraged them that they can repeat last year's result.

They're fighting for their lives and we're fighting for a virtual trophy to get into a competition we haven't a hope of winning. I wonder who'll be more up for it?

So many here have predicted a defeat every weekend since Xmas
and despite us winning virtually every game we were 'expected' to lose
many are still miserable. Been saying it to Frank on Twitter, if you actually want us to lose
you're gonna be miserable the majority of the time,
time to consider taking a break? I worry some of you are gonna get ulcers...

We dont often agree but i could or would never want us to lose ,i predict losses as a kind of reverse pyschology i find normally the opposite of wht i want always seems to happen if tht makes sense :?

in honour of me and mcdowell agreeing on something I'm going to 'un-foe' him
(and save myself the time of always clicking on the link to see what he's written)
I may also buy shares in gaviscon

I was going to say this on Twitter today, but I was at work, if you can find a tweet that I sent to yourself, where I actually said ''I want us to lose'' please retweet it! But you'll take a long time to find it because I didn't say that, wanting us not to qualify for the wanky Champions League and wanting us to lose are 2 different things!

Cos they won a trophy and I mean an actual trophy as opposed to a fictitious one  That they did so on a meagre budget, without any real star players, without complaining about being unable to compete with the mega wealthy clubs and that they actually had to have some semblance of a tactical gameplan to win it deserves nothing but respect from all football supporters and I for one tip my hat off to them 8)

That Martinez has actually won a trophy now should reduce the amount of people on here slating him for barely keeping Wigan up every season and I say that knowing that they will be relegated in 48 hours

So everone on this forum would still love Wenger if he won the FA Cup this year

Don't think so, everyone would be saying "it's just the FA Cup, who gives a fuck about that".

I would loved to have seen us win the fa cup this season and I think the day of us looking down our noses at the fa cup has long gone don't you ? If we had of won it I would still have believed that wenger is a c.unt and that is for certain. Anyway my tribute to Martinez refers to a large difference in resources between our clubs

The only danger with Wenger winning a trophy for us now would be the club giving him a 3 year contract on the back of it, I just couldn't endure another 4 seasons of his mismanagement, smugness and arrogance, added to that the AKB's would be jizzing themselves off silly on the strength, bascially we would never get rid of him and his regime would go on for years, not just under him but anyone that he chooses as his successor!

it was my interpretation of this exchange:
WOBARMY ‏@franksav63 12 May
That's the difference, Rooney moans + wants to leave and Fergie drops him, players like Sagna, Denilson and RVP want to leave us and not

JD Evans ‏@HighburyJD 12 May
@franksav63 2nd time, when he knows he's retiring anyway, Purplenose drops Shrek... So what? Caved 1st time and put grannyshagger on £1M pm.

WOBARMY ‏@franksav63 12 May
@HighburyJD Winners and losers mate, and Wenger is a big loser nowadays, not only that but bends over big time now!

JD Evans ‏@HighburyJD 12 May
@franksav63 neither first point nor response makes any sense Frank. £1M pcm was 'bending over'. Let's hope we can win something next year.

WOBARMY ‏@franksav63 12 May
@HighburyJD I hope not mate if it ensures that Wenger gets another contract, the sooner he goes the better imo!

Saying "I hope not" sounded to me like you hoped we didn't win something, I thought that was the same thing as losing...
(If we never lost we'd win everything!)
