Happy St. Totteringham's Day

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Lol, and it's still a bitter pill to swallow.
How come they get Jam, when we only get promised Jam tomorrow :(

Pipped at the post! Spurs and Liverpool would have reached Champions League had shots against woodwork gone in.

Liverpool also dragged out the same excuse last season. These always make me laugh. If you look hard enough i'm sure you can find any statistic you want to justify any possible outcome you like and apparently make yourself feel better in the process.

I've been happily checking back onto Glory Glory just for a few chuckles at the most deluded comments on there and I think they've posted a few other tables similar to that to show how unlucky they were (one being the "since Rafa joined" table and another being the ever-representative "last 14 games" litmus test). Also, the general consensus is that they need to be considerably better than us to actually finish above us as well always have way more luck

There are actually staggering numbers of people there who seem to genuinely believe they are capable of winning the league next season and appear to have escaped sectioning. It's like experience only serves to make them less realistic and logical.

If just some of the corners taken by Arsenal had got past the first man and/or been flicked on to a forward who could score...

This is what I sent my 5pur2 mates on an email, some didn't reply, some just sent me back abuse!! ha ha

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thought I’d give you time to stop sobbing…here are a few ‘Oops a daisy’ comments/actions observed recently which amused me…

‘TOTTENHAM BOSS AVB: ARSENAL ARE ON DOWNWARD SPIRAL OF DOOM’

‘Arsenal won't recover from Tottenham defeat says Andre Villas-Boas’

‘Michael Dawson Thinks Spurs Are Better Than Arsenal’

AVB and Adebayor believe Wigan can beat Arsenal
“It will be tough for them, but I think now with the confidence, with the belief that they have just won the FA Cup, it’s a good time for them to play Arsenal.”

Adebayor – ‘Arsenal can drop points and I want to kill them!’
Adebayor said yesterday: He said: “We sit one point behind Arsenal in fourth, so it is a good position for us. “Now we’ve got two more games to go.
Last year we finished in the top four so why not this year?
“We’ve got quality, we’ve got quite similar players, maybe even a better squad. We just have to keep our belief.

‘Andre Villas-Boas: Wojciech Szczesny can say what he wants’
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas plays down comments made by Wojciech Szczesny, saying the Arsenal goalkeeper is "entitled to say what he wants".
Szczesny was reported as claiming ‘Tottenham did not have the quality to finish in the top four of the Premier League’

Spurs fans go wild as they're told Newcastle equalise against rivals Arsenal... but was it because of a tweet from Sir Alan Sugar?

Arsenal v Spurs? As Jimmy Greaves Said, ‘There’s Only Ever One Winner’
