All those goals in Germany and for the national team, scoring for us virtually everytime he gets a chance?
Where as Giroud, shit for france, misses countless sitters.
And then we have our new first choice striker, the "postman"

Why isnt Wenger asked about his at press conferences- just cannot make it out at all. Surely last night would have been a golden opportunity for him :? :? :? :?

It cant just be Wengers daughters hes been shagging, must be Wengers mistress as well

Podolski has a good goal scoring record, despite his lack of game time, which makes him unique right now at the Arsenal.
No doubt he'll be off in the summer. Wenger only likes big git, technically useless 'strikers' these days. Since Rambo and Theo's injuries, we look completely useless in front of goal. We don't even thump the "small" sides any more.
A manager who says 'he's our most clinical, best finisher' yet doesn't pick him???!! Long given up trying to understand what goes on in Wenger's money-addled, tightwad brain. I hope Poldi still makes the German squad for the World Cup.

Certainly not a lone striker but I guarantee if he was put in the team as soon as things aren't going rosey people will be calling for Cazorla back. It's just a stick to beat the manager with, it used to be that we had fuck all options on the bench. Now, it's that the wrong players are on the bench. Everyone's an expert :?

He plays against Liverpool, he scores, gets subbed off unfairly and is dropped for the next game. That's pretty much a microcosm of his entire Arsenal career right there, he has been treated disgracefully by Wenger. The best finisher in a club that doesn't score many goals cannot get a game, but a French kid who looks about as clinical in front of goal as a baby giraffe from Ligue 2 can, Jesus wept :banghead:

No, just Arsene Wonga, in his own mind he is the Oracle, he knows best and no-one else knows anything. Pathetic money grabbing man.

If Pod and Ozil were English we would be complaining about how overrated the English team is and how crap we are. Because they are German they seem to be getting a free pass. Podolski can finish. That's about it. He isn't particularly quick or mobile and I don;t think he is all that skillful either. Ozil. Well I think we all know what I think about him.

So you are saying that if you played FM and you had a striker with 20 finishing but 0 pace, stamina, acceleration, strength etc ect you would play him?

I exaggerate obv but you need more than just finishing. You need to actually do stuff. He's not awful but he isn't Arsenal standard (whatever that is).

We are struggling for goals, particularly in big matches, and he is the best person in the current squad to score them, he has been pretty prolific during most of his career. He's not pacy but he is fairly intelligent in his movement and positioning. People seem to think he is lazy which I don't agree with but he isn't the most natural athlete so does tire in quite a few matches. I'd like to see a change in formation and make him one of two strikers but that is never going to happen, the balance of the rest of the squad doesn't suit it as we have about a dozen attacking midfielders.

If my life depended on one of our players scoring a goal from inside the box I'd want Podolski to be the man. I'm not arsed about his build up or all round play, he scores goals and that's what I want from my strikers!
