CL draw

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

seems like Bayern aren't too thrilled about playing us either,Boeteng reckons its the worst possible draw for them and that it will a tough game that they aren't looking forward too, that said 5 minutes in when they are a goal up he might change his thoughts

They're just being polite. They weren't gonna come out and say "Great, it's the piss easy draw we all wanted" are they

To be fair out of all the teams that finished second ( :banghead: ) we definitely are the toughest team so I get why we are the worst possible draw for them. They could have been playing teams like Gala, Olympiacos etc and instead they have us.

Bayern couldn't draw Man City because they were in the same group.

I think they are being polite though. The one they wanted to avoid was Milan despite current domestic form, maybe Galatasaray as well with the one-man wrecking machine, with perhaps ourselves 3rd.

In fairness they played us last year and we were the side that came closest to knocking them out. I know they were coasting in the second leg etc etc but perhaps we're not actually as hopeless as people like to make out?

I really hope so mate....honestly I do. I just know that he'll throw away the fucking FA Cup given those other games which depresses the fuck out of me.

Anyway, I'll take a happy pill between now and then :D

I can see this season being a mirror image of last season

March - go down bravely against Bayern Munich
May - achieve 4th place glory with a win at Norwich City (Newcastle last season)

Yes, even though I think we're improved, I do agree with Gunner Rob's prediction.
