As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Once witnessed Liverpool "fans" and Manure "fans" fighting each other in a pub in Dublin. All were wearing Ingerland jerseys. We Oirish lads stood back and let them at it.
Was the afternoon of the infamous Landsdowne Road riot in 95 when our psychotic Garda riot squad beat the living shit out of the Ingerland hooligans. I'll never forget the look of joy on the Oirish TV studio host's face as he announced "we are going back live to Landsdowne - there have been developments" and they showed the riot squad wading in. Fucking priceless TV!

Last time apparently that is how it worked. You had to fill in a form in between two set times as well. I think everyone that did that got a ticket last time against Chelsea. That includes those without 3 credits.
Those with 3 credits were pretty much guaranteed a ticket. Probably will be the same this year

Used to go on the supporters bus from Newport for midweek games. Well the ones I was allowed to go to - generally limited to those falling in the school holidays and the really big games as bus left at about 1230 so it involved taking more than half the day off school
Used to go on the bus for a few away games a season too, my Dad and brother used to go to most away games but then as I got to about 8 and got old enough to start going my Dad cut back. Was probably about the same sort of time period as you - started going in 1997 and stopped using the supporters' bus when we moved stadiums (bar the Chelsea semi which I went to with my brother).
A very good friend of ours from Bristol used to get on the supporters' bus every match, an older bloke called Pete with a walking stick. We used to meet him in the pub before every single game but he slowly drifted away from Arsenal after that semi-final, he sadly passed away 2 years ago. Can't think of the supporters' club without remembering him.
Ah, sorry - didn't see this post!
Yes, I remember Pete. Not by name, but certainly the walking stick. Nice bloke.
I guess we probably saw each other on the coach then. Like two ships passing in the night, who knows what might have been if we'd sat next to each other and struck up a conversation?
