I wouldn't be surprised if there's trouble at the Galatasaray home game tbh. The club should put nets up around their fans.

I like Reus, but selfishly, I'd be pleased if he were unavailable for our match - Debuchy is banned which means Chambers would have to play RB and match up against him...

Dortmund have just confirmed ligament damage. Now if Hummels gets the shits I'll start to be optimistic.

Reus is out for about 4 weeks.
I'm with VAVAVOOM on this. A player I really like but he might be too clever for a 19yr old as yet still raw,Chambers.

They're still a better side than Arsenal with or without Reus, Gundogan and Sahin. Not to mention we're missing Gibbs, Debuchy, Walcott and Giroud ourselves, plus we'll have the inexperienced Chambers at full back rather than Sagna last year.

Yes, yes...How on earth can we compete with the mighty Dortmund?

You're having a bubble, Dortmund finished 19 points behind Munich last season - to suggest they're better than us even without 3 of their most influential midfielders is complete bullsh*t. They also lost one of the best strikers in the world in Lewandowski to Munich.

Yep. And then throw them in the Thames.

Yep. Tie their fans up in nets and throw them in the Thames, my thinking exactly :barscarf:

Shitty manager Pellegrino has been having a moan about champs league seeding, saying it's not fair that we are in pot 1 and they are in pot 2.

After keeping his gob shut for ages, like Paul Scholes he suddenly won't shut up and it's all to moan.

The champions league seedings are odd but they were put in place with the coercion of the original big clubs latterly joined by the nouveau riche like Shitty and chavs.

It means the big boys and giant Tv networks kept the big boys apart. Shitty have spent a a couple of billion pounds, they should be good enough to not be pissing their pants about playing Cska Moscow and FC Roma. Think the manager is getting his excuses in early.

There is a lot of sh*t that's wrong in Europe that UEFA have been gutless in fixing.

Chavs have quite clearly stockpiled players from a young age to stop anyone getting them. They have 75 players on their books with 26 loaned out. They pay the wages of the vast majority of these players yet,the cost of that is not included in FFP accounts.

Barca are allowed to fill up spaces enough for 2 transfer windows during a frivolous appeal.

Shitty with pretty much no global appeal as yet circumvent FFP rules by getting every one but the f**king Asian "slaves" in Abu Dhabi to sponsor them. So suddenly a team that should be getting sponsorship equivalent to their small fanbase are getting deals worthy of a global giant.

Since Adug bought them they have transformed them and the work they are doing to provide jobs in Manchester is admirable but it does not make Shitty a global giant...not yet.

I have no love for the champs league and wouldn't cry if we missed out on it as our manager would have lost his final shield of protection from being a tactical dinosaur.

I want it to go back to champions only competition . No seedings draws after the first round of games, dump the group stages.

Teams 2nd -4th in a UEFA cup competition and all domestic cup winners in a competition called Europa cup.....does this format sound familiar :rubchin:

It wasn't broke, UEFA and the big boys just got greedy.

As for Pellegrino it's a bit pathetic amassing one of the best squads in Europe and still wetting your pants over Fc Roma and CSKA Moscow. Smacks of a manager that doesn't think he's good enough to do get the job done.

The fact that there is any sort of seeding and a Group stage to start with is what makes the fucking thing, the most drawn out boreathon of a competition to start with.

The competition will always be designed to keep the richest and most influential clubs in Europe happy - so if the mega rich aren't getting their way UEFA will redraft the rules so that they do

Bring on the Capital One cup and the FA Cup !

Spot on mate, Soton at home in the league cup is far bigger for me than Dortmund away.
