Anti-Wenger Protest
Re: Anti-Wenger Protest
My undestanding speaking with a few gooners, that they are meeting outside the Armoury on Saturday....

Re: Anti-Wenger Protest
What is the point in protesting outside the ground then going into the ground? The only protest Wenger Kroenke and Gazidis will listen to is Boycott. The club is run on making money.Kroenke will be back in Denver and Gazidis will be talking profits with Ed Woodward over a glass of bubbly while the protest is going on.Remember cheapest ticket is £62.Kerching

Because it is a start. As I said previously, expectations for results from this march have to be realistic - this march is, in my opinion, a way of flagging the dissent to other like minded fans who might then join in with the protest either this time or the next time. It is a way of giving fans an opportunity to vent their anger in a co-ordinated way and with other like minded Gooners. It shouldnt also be ignored that any successful protest outside the ground, could like to a public display of anger inside the ground if there is another abject passionless and disorganised performance.
Please can all the "wenker out" fans stop complaining/being negative and row in behind these protests - it wont force the greedy yank into sacking le cock, but it might anger wenker enough to storm out of the club

I used to agree with this view, however I don't any longer.donaldo71 wrote:What is the point in protesting outside the ground then going into the ground? the fact is the more actual true Arsenal supporters in the ground as opposed to sedated tourists the more there is likely to be anti Wenger protests.
that said I won't be there on Saturday as I already boycott all category A games due to the cost.
as Augie goes on to say Saturday might well be a start and I for one will be joining in on any further protests.
good luck to everyone who gets the ball rolling on Saturday!

Yeah, we've a couple of funny arseholes whose posts I've just deleted. But hey - fill your boots. We've told you what will happen if you keep fucking around with this one thread. So go ahead, fuck it up for the other handful of lads that are trying to achieve something here. We don't have the time to babysit you, so we will lock it or merge it and we will name the people that caused us to do that.

Re: Anti-Wenger Protest
Why so negative dude ???????????? we have to start somewhere that is the POINT, i take it uuuu won't be there ????? just be negative!!!!!!!!!donaldo71 wrote:What is the point in protesting outside the ground then going into the ground? Re: Anti-Wenger Protest
to encourage protests in the ground perhaps ?donaldo71 wrote:What is the point in protesting outside the ground then going into the ground?
i really don't understand the mindset of people who actively discourage those that they apparently agree with.
if you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem, is very true in this case. you think if there were protests outside the ground and inside the ground that the tourists and JCL's would keep going ? of course not.
Re: Anti-Wenger Protest
Got it in one, can't understand why people coming on this thread and saying what's the point!! in protesting outside!!! please don't come, just sit there and DO NOTHING !!!! let us get on with it ...clockender1 wrote:to encourage protests in the ground perhaps ?donaldo71 wrote:What is the point in protesting outside the ground then going into the ground?

I've had this argument so many times.donaldo71 wrote:What is the point in protesting outside the ground then going into the ground? Although I understand not wanting to give the club your money, it will not be noticed. You will easily be replaced by tourists, day trippers and jcls. Exactly the type of "customer" the club want, and exactly the type of supporter people on here moan about. Sitting at home or in the pub moaning really achieves nothing. I have said for a long time we need as many dissenting voices in the ground as possible.
This probably wouldn't have been the game I'd have chosen to protest (I hate losing to these fuckers) but there always seems to be a reason not to. Sooner or later we are going to have make our opinions known so why not now....if the only other choice is to stop going then we have well and truly lost OUR club forever...and that to me is not an option.

Re: Anti-Wenger Protest
My humble respect to those who goes there and have some kind of protest! Everything has a start and this might be it - even if there were one guy standing.
I'm just a fan from far away and I can't never understand the feelings that the "real" fans living in the neighborhood has and those who has supported this club for a lifetime has. Or the real love for the club.
So, I'm not telling anyone should protests held or not. All I can give is respect to those who protest.

Re: Anti-Wenger Protest
Not there on Saturday (Have been boycotting for the last 2 seasons) so good luck and hope all goes well.
As stated, this may well be the start and it will build and build in the future.
Just a thought, how a bout a sit down protest, where you DON'T go to the game but stay sat down - Outside the Armoury or by the Cannons or somewhere clearly visible for the duration of the match ? (FOR A FUTURE GAME )

All mouth, no trousers. As ever. The Club has you/us all by the short and curlies, so you come on here to talk a good game and make yourselves feel better. Then nothing happens.
Wait another few years and then Wenger will be out on his own terms, you're just wasting your time until then. Also the Club has devised enough strategies (such as Ticket Ex) so that attempts to boycott seats and lower attendances will fail. Every year there's requests for people en masse to give up their ST, every year the same response "Oh, but I've spent so many years to get to this point, I just can't give it up. You secretly all know this anyway I'm sure.
Sorry for the truth bomb. It's interesting reading things like this to see just how circular the whole thing is and how little progress is made towards your objectives. This is from someone closer to WOB than AKB on the spectrum, by the way. Just an interested observer.

I really wish I could be there - head counts for these things are what make the media take notice.
This could be that small stone tumbling that begins the Avalanche!
Good Luck You Gooners!
