maybe Wenger should be allowed to stay so he can create a new CL record for biggest margin of defeat in a CL knock out stage game

I can see us easily losing about 10-0 if we draw Real Madrid.

if we are down to Martinez, Monreal and Sanogo in November then what the fuck will the team be like come February??  :banghead:

Oooh, the tension - will we win and finish second, draw and finish second or lose and finish second. The suspense is killing me

The person I was going with has dropped out...i now have a 2hr each way journey on my own or stay home and watch it on the box.
95% of me is saying stay home in the warm, feet up, couple of beers, early night...job done. I bet the 5% wins though and I drag my arse there to see the mighty Sanogo in the flesh....decisions decisions :rubchin:

As our lord and master told us, you need to go to the game, and then judge was it worth the price you paid :)

This and a bad result and performance might at last get the crowd singing you don't know what your doing or wenger out. The crowd needs to turn on him and i think it only needs a few for the majority to join in.

Dortmund have been training in Regents Park

I suppose they think they are only facing a team with the tactical awareness of a Sunday League side tonight

How far would he need to go for a turnaround (in his eyes) though?

Fair enough Dortmund are top of the group, but Anderlecht and Galatasaray are crap and we were dogshit in the first tie. So if we can win tomorrow then we go to WBA, who are meh, scrape a 1/2-0. Southampton will be tough but I watched them against Villa and they looked quite like us, lots of neat passing but not much incisiveness. Then Stoke, which should be three points before Galatasaray. If we've drawn against Dortmund then we won't need to do anything, if we've won then he'll put out the first team and batter them and we'll still finish 2nd. He'll have 5 wins, or 4 and a draw in succession and then Wenger can witter on about a great fightback and fantastic mental strength.

We might even be back in the top 4 before we get humiliated by Alan f'king Pardew!
WBA is a morning game - our record of those is poor, especially after a CL Game.
Stoke - we always struggle up there, and our record there is poor.
Southampton - 9 points ahead of us, well organized, disciplined and defend well, forsters clangers excepted. they will sit back with a draw enough for them knowing it will put pressure on wenger to win. they will catch us completely open - 2-1 or 2-0 to them at least. lets see how they do with city first to get a better idea.

Dortmund tonight i believe will do the same, wait for us to give away possession in the middle, hit us on the break. i see a draw or loss tonight.

gala is in turkey - never easy.

i'm not optomistic that we get anymore than 2 wins and a draw in the next five. tonight is key for confidence. if we get outplayed, he is going to lose the team.

interesting - surely we make the pitch available on game days or just the night before ?

its either that, or Klopp is giving them a lesson in humility. i wonder what the german press make of that ?

Just some thoughts.....

The bad results in my mind are down to two factors. First I think he is losing the dressing room, the belief he goes on about just isn't there any more, instead there is the realisation that Wenger is on his way out and is finished as a top level coach. Second some of the squad members wouldn't get near a top level side, Monreal, Flamini, Sanogo - they wou;dn't have got a trial in the old Wenger teams let alone a regular starting place.

If we miss out on the CL for one or 2 seasons and come back a team with tactics and a chance of challenging it will be a price worth paying. Couldn't help thinking last night what some lie Guadiola could do with this Arsenal team once he shipped out the deadwood and brought in some reinforcements.

The end is nigh Wenger,we're tired and bored of your project.

Genuinely would like to see a drubbing tonight to hasten his exit.

We know that Dortmund are going to press us, wait for our fanny-merchant passing to break down, squeeze the middle and hit on the counter. Bearing that in mind, will Wenger change our approach to deal with this? I wonder.

Win, lose or draw won't make the slightest difference to Wenger's position at the club.
Most of you could write his after match speech now 5.55pm.

Despite all the negativity and tedium associated with our club I still hope they win tonight and wish them all good luck.

I reserve the right to change my opinion at 90mins :)
