As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Shit draw, season hanging by a thread.
You greedy fucker - not content with the Community Shield, the most consecutive CL Group Stage qualification trophy, and the most chances created pre-Christmas trophy......you wanted the quadruple didn't you ?
I shall never be happy until we are, once again, the Calendar Year Champions.

I myself yearn for the day we are once again crowned champions of the coveted Stamina League.
LaughingGooner wrote:ha, the negativity here is hilarious......so we played shite the last time we played them in the cup, so inevitably, we'll play shite again.
Great logic......
Was anyone watching that game.....Utd were shite for most of the game against a moderate div 2 team.
A performance like we put in yesterday, we'll win.....end of......
I must have imagined their weakened back 3 and Fellaini putting us to the sword, at home this season then eh?
Arsenal have better players but they have an inferiority complex against Man United. That's down to the inept manager. It's frankly beyond ridiculous that we've not won there more than once in the last 10 years. Ridiculous. We couldn't even best them when agent Moyes was in charge
It will be interesting to see who Riley nominates for the Salford trip , not to mention the possible red cards in the run up just to tip the balance away from us.

Wouldn't surprise me if Riley himself came out of retirement especially, to fuck us over one more time.
Thought Preston were gonna do the hard part for us for a minute there (like Wigan did for us last season) but at least if we're gonna retain the cup they'll be at least one memorable round that we got through. Could be a cracker if we turn up for once up there and winning those games are always far more memorable than beating the dross we've faced in the competition so far.
As for Hodgson, I do quite like him but his defence of Rooney's blatant dive was an embarrassment. Yes he had to jump out of the way of the tackle but that doesn't mean he had to fall in a way that made it look like he was tripped. I'd love to hear Hodgson's reaction if a big hairy Argentinian did that against England and won a penalty.

Whos laughing now
AT least some of us remember the70s and 80s when we would pretty regularly beat them as well (apart from 74/5 season when they werent able to play
Rather fancy we will do a double over them this year- come May the wheels will hopefully be off, that pratt LVG TBH I prefer AW any day
Incidentally anyone know what the allocation will be? Its usually a lot more in the FA cup. Doubt it will get to red members though
Usually for cup games there it's 9.5k, usual away bit and the top bit of the stand next to the usual away end. It'll be on the BBC, so either 5.30 Saturday or 4.00 Sunday. The Sunday might go to reds, but the Saturday wouldn't because people could stay over.

I'll be there too....chance of an away ticket and lets hope we can put in the sort of proud performance that Gallas & Co did last time we played there in the Cup
Thank the Lord above that you'll be there Steven, I was wondering where the positivity was going to come from in this fixture. I've asked Ty and he's only too happy to kit you out in some Arsenal gear for your once-yearly trip to support your favourite team.
Welp, this hoodoo has to end sometime; I mean they can't maintain this hold over us forever - I'm shit at maths but probability dictates we're due a win.
If Wenger hasn't already shit the bed (he probably has) and actually goes up there with conviction and sets us up with a view to playing our football instead of fretting over how we'll contain them I don't think they'll be able to live with us.
In saying that, It might be wise to sit back and allow United to have the ball as they are playing the most insipid, pedestrian football I've ever seen from a Manc side at the minute - it's fucking egregious. Hit them on the counter with Sanchez and Walcott, yes, Walcott, not Chamberlain you bunch of Theo hating c*nts and they'll be vulnerable.
Think it's also important to remember that they are the ones who will be under pressure to bring the game to us/win as they are at home. I just hope we don't find a way to beat ourselves like we usually do against these plebs.
