As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No.
4 pay rises in 5 years? is that true?
4 contracts, so 3 pay rises whilst at the club. Going from Wikipedia, contracts in June 2008, July 2009, June 2010 and then December 2012.
Dick still rigid about the thought of Cech mind. Wow.
Because this deal has dragged on for so long when the world and it's mother knew that he was joining us, the whole excitement of signing him has evaporated for me - regardless of the price (too high for me) we have signed a solid keeper who has winning experience and could prove to be a huge asset for this club, but signing a top quality DM or striker would be more likely to get my juices flowing

This signing is the most important signing since Sol in 2001.A statement of intent,For the first time in 10 years Arsenal will be starting with a top class keeper between the sticks.Cech is more than solid he's top class and for £11m a steal he cost £5m less than Chambers

What he said. ^^^
The goalkeeping position has been neglected since before Seamen left imo. Fuckin fantastic defensive signing at long last.
saying cech cost too much is probably one of the most daft things I've actually heard on this forum, and coming from a fellow WOB ffs
this is a market where shite like adam lallana costs the same as alexis sanchez. we have done very well with this signing to keep it 11m, which is the same gervinho cost us. he is world class, gervinho was shite. get a grip people
