How come Wales are playing so well against Australia? They had all of those injuries too. Now an Oz player is sin binned. Anyhoo my mum would cuff me around the ear for me not wanting Wales to win as her mum was Welsh Wales. They are winning me over with their performance.
This match is really showing how poor England was in this tournament. Aussies with two players off now.

Wales are out of the group and into the knock out stages, that's all that matters right now - we are not. :x

We didn't deserve to beat either Wales or Australia, so I've got no complaints there, but how did three of the strong teams end up in the same group together? When you look at some of the other groups, teams much weaker than the three in the group of death will be in the quarter finals, it's not very balanced to get the best matches later on.
Agreed, and even if not immediately in time Wales fans will certainly realise that given the injuries Wales getting out of the group was a great achievement and an overall success.

It was drawn nearly 3 years ago which is a joke and it just so happened that (despite being 2nd now bizarrely) Wales had dropped below both Scotland and Argentina (despite always having been streets better for both) for a short period in which the draw happened to be made.

Saying that at least there was some interest in the group stages because of this rather than the usual procession with possibly one big game in each group to determine winners/runners-up.
Still bitter! Three years ago both Wales and England were better than Scotland, so how come Scotland got in a patsy group? Japan and Somao were never going to get through that group, Scotland had a nailed-on second place.

Got to hand it to the Aussies, that passage of play when Wales did everything but score, their defence held firm - 13 against 15. That won it for them. Take heart, you're still in it with South Africa who have not looked impressive really, you can advance! For my gran, Come on Wales :barscarf: :barscarf:

And there in lies England's problem, 3 points down in one and a half minutes from a penalty. No bloody discipline!!!

Talking to meself now I know, but Nick Easter, the geriatric of ruby, gets two tries against the minnows. Shows how bad we are.

Only Scotland could concede 26 first half points against Samoa and then score 6 points in 30 minutes from 8 kickable penalties.sid their best to get knocked out!

Zero complaints about Wales result. Australia are a better team and Wales gave themselves a chance of winning which is as much as you can ask. At the end of the day you can't be camped on the line against 13 men and come away with nothing. Think WAles can beat SA but no hope against NZ in the semis if they did.

Had England gone for that kick at the death against Wales and scored, they would now be in the QF. Who decided not to kick for 3 points that night 300 years ago. Not still bitter, honest.

Easy to comment with hindsight but even said with the bonus point against Fiji and the last game against Uruguay a point for England would have always been fine.

A few things from the game today that everybody should have already known:

George North is ineffective at centre
Tipuric and Warburton don't work together
Wales have a few decent scrummagers in their entire squad
Cuthbert cannot possibly be the second-best available wing in a county of nearly 3m
