league cup last 16 v sheff wed

In fairness had I been back from work early enough to see the team line up then I would have backed wednesday, they are a hardened championship side and we have too many kids out there with too many shit reserve players, we really have a small squad yet a massive wage bill :roll:

There was a time we could have made wholesale changes to a league cup team and been ultra competitive but outside our first choice 13/14 players that squad is pretty much horse shit. It's why we're going to come a cropper in a title push too.

We USED to have a good reserve team and Youth squad - WTF happened ? :shock: :?


The youngsters need a captain on the pitch who can take the game by the scruff of the neck and show em how to turn it all around..

Our back 4 have nearly 150 caps for Germany, France and England between them. Three have had years of regular top flight experience and they are all playing like shrinking violets who are scared of their own shadow and have zero confidence in their ability to put one foot in front of the other.

Apart from that I don't see how anybody could have thought that this mismatch of kids would create serious problems for them.

:lol: @the arrogant people thinking this would be a cake walk. Any team with players like Debuchy, Campbell, Gibbs and Chambers will always be open to humiliating performances like this.
