Whilst I'd balk at killing their families, I do believe the only way to defeat (or maybe at best contain) Islamic terror is to just keep killing them. It's not that their not working Augie, it's that we're not taking the right course of action. We're not doing the things that would work and unfortunately are more likely to take your suggested course of action, which would be an unmitigated disaster.
As I said in an earlier post which got me threatened with a ban "it is a cancer on the western world"
Most of these people are known to the authorities from the *word censored* in the lorry to the fucker who slit an 81 year old priests throat so start with them ! I am beginning to think Trump is not just a bit of a fruitcake, he's a raging nutter.
To invite the Russians to hack Hilary Clinton's missing emails is just utter lunacy. Putin who has made a few complimentary comments about Trump is playing the US and Trump for fools. If he was allowed his own way, he would claim back large swathes of the former Eastern block as he has done with Ukraine and Georgia.
Trump claiming that the US would not come to the rescue of NATO member states who do not pay their own way are just inviting Russia to test the alliance out. Estonia springs to mind.
Trump being elected will make the world a very dangerous place. The forthcoming debates are going to be very interesting. Only the Americans could be stupid enough to elect Trump.

I get why people would be totally against my policy of executions on the basis of it being inhumane, but this line that it will only radicalise the next generation amuses me ? Short of waving the white flag and surrendering, what will deter them ? Do you believe that doing nothing will fix things ? Do you think that we (the west) can gather enough informants to help us wage war on specific targets ?
At the moment we are fighting a war on nicey, nicey terms - france knew about two muslims on a watch list, but still allowed them a few hours a day without their ankle monitors on them. I cannot believe for one second that there are people out there with even half a brain, that are only now beginning to recognise that he is a nutter - WHEN this c.unt gets into power, you will see chaos on an unprecedented scale and if it only rained down on America then I am ok with that cos if they are stupid enough to vote him in, then they deserve everything they get

The point you're missing Chippy is that the Islamic fundamentalists/terrorists are actively and constantly trying to radicalize the next generation either way! Anything we do will not affect that one iota. This is not a war we can negotiate to a peaceful end. We have nothing they want. They don't want land or money or jobs or anything we have. We either convert to their bastardised version of Islam or they kill us - and that includes other Muslims too. This is not a normal war. This is a fight for survival. So the Americans couldn't take out Al Qaeda, what chance do you think they have of taking out ISIS who are infinitely more sophisticated.

Yes they have a global network of idiots but if you have been keeping up with latest developments you will know that isis are now asking the extremists to either return back to Syria or to join them in there "religious war" to fight as the Kurds are making huge strides in to Syria and destroying a lot of there network out there.
Both the Americans and us have been meddling in the middle east for too long a time. Probably it was the instating of Israel into Palestine that has bought on all the ills of the area today.

I don't want to cause offence here flush but I am taking that when you refer to the mindset part you are referring to me so ill answer in kind.
My opinion or "mindset" as you put it is solely based on my perception and many Americans for that case of trump and the numerous outlandish statements he has made since running for president. This is a man that wants to build a wall between America and Mexico ffs
If the u.s were to get attacked and he was in office he would respond in kind and believe me it would be to a greater extent than any previous administration in us history. If you are of the thinking that bush and blair were bad then believe me trump will me a million times worse.
Lastly you mention that I should "go and fight them myself". unfortunately even if I was to join the Irish army we hold a strong neutrality stance against war, I am quite aware also of the fallen serviceman families have suffered, because its effected my own family to a big extent.
