Leicester at home 14th 1200

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

For this reason I am hoping for a dull, pedestrian 2-0 win...with a crap atmosphere, shitty weather, she hates every second of it and never wants to go to another match again.
Unfortunately I think it's going to be a high scoring win and she'll bloody love it...4-2 to The Arsenal.
This could end badly, mate. :worried:

Obviously not as badly as when Finsbury Park Gooner's bird went on holiday "by herself" though.

Too soon? :rubchin:

Or when Gooner got his bird a sewing machine.

I still think g88ner kept that sewing machine for himself tbh. :D

I'm not afraid of Leicester, as such. I think we'll beat them but my main worry is that as soon as the odds start shortening and we're within striking distance of the Foxes, we'll go limp, as usual.

Cas you're the eternal optimist, now go away and stop spoiling the depressed ambience of losing to them that we are trying to cultivate :D

I thought he got it for his Ex, or did she become his Ex when she cottoned on he'd bought her a Sewing Machine...

My my, that was a good thread that...had us all in stitches that!

Has he still got it?

Season defining game. Keep the WKD addict quiet and it's a comfortable win.

Wenger's strengths has always been getting the players to play a fast paced passing game to overcome the opposition. But once the players cross the white line, Wenger is useless as his subs and formation shuffles do F all.

Giroud had a great period, but he has fizzled out and he needs to be hooked from the team. He needs to know he cant occupy the forward position and go 3-4 games without a goal. This is another area I am critical of Wenger - he lets complacency set in. Players need to be dropped at the first sign of poor form.

I would play Walcott upfront, with Sanchez and Chamberlain either flank. Ozil in the hole, Ramsey and Coquelin in midfield. Gabriel ahead of Mertesacker. I read of the 8 games Gabriel has played 90 minutes in, we conceded only one goal - these are stats that cannot be overlooked.

I think the consensus is Leicester wont look to sit back, and have done very well playing an attacking brand of football and fearing no team. They wont arrive scared or with a plan to sit back. So pick pace within the team. Play Walcott over Giroud and Gabriel over Mertesacker.

I will be dismayed, if Wenger plays Giroud and/or Mertesacker in this game.
Agreed Giroud has been mostly gash for weeks now.

BUT

Walcott??? He's in an even worse vein of form than Giroud and can't even run with the ball now. I'd pick Giroud only because there is some chance he might link up with Ozil or Sanchez and they might score, but Walcott is offering the team absolutely zero.

:D :D
Nail him to the bench !! :barscarf: :barscarf:

:D :D Miserable gits! I just think we will win. There again, I thought we'd beat Southampton, so don't take any notice of me, I'm just in my optimist bubble.

He also thinks our fans would miss a moment of 'happiness'. Has he seen our team playing this season? Maybe all that 'I didn't see it' rubbish is true!!! Why he doesn't know what the score is half the time.

I know - What happiness? We play like we're 5-0 up with no urgency or drive for goal. This shit Barca-Lite football is torture to watch :banghead:

TOF rarely acknowledges the crowd anyway, despite most of them protecting him from a rebellion in the ground :censored:

To be honest we could stay out of our seats until the 15th min and not miss much from our lot, but i get the feeling the Foxes fans might be pushing their luck taking it to 5 mins :barscarf:
